Procedure on How to Improve Ethernet Testing

(Globe IPPDH Project)

CASE 1. (Provisioned already)
AT DOWNLINK site:
WIMAX NODE B LAN cable is not yet connected to the EMS port

AT UPLINK site:
There is a LAN cable already connected in EMS board going to the existing Globe Mux

loopback cable either in the UPLINK site or in the DOWNLINK site).

PROCEDURE for the ETHERNET TEST (during PAT) CASE 2:
1. Call and confirm with Huawei IPPDH team if subcon
can now removed the LAN cable of the EMS port going
to OSN or ALU Mux (UPLINK site).

2. Huawei Team to inform GT NOC to confirm the FE
testing activity is about to start.

We propose to applied MAR for this procedure to be

downtime is less than 10 minutes.

LAN cable connecting the EMS port going to Wimax

Summary

1. Huawei subcon to call Huawei IPPDH Project Team before conducting any
Ethernet testing during the PAT.
2. We propose to have approved MAR for the 10 minutes downtime for all
RFS Wimax BTS. In this way, we can remove all existing connection prior to
any FE testing.
3. Remove the provisioning cable connected in the IDU FE port of the uplink site
(site B).
4. After completing Ethernet testing, remove loopback cables used in the
testing.
