• “NO SMOKING” – THIS SIGN IS DISPLAYED ON THE ACCOMODATION FRONT AS WELL AS ALL OVER THE SHIP
ESPECIALLY ON MAIN CARGO DECK, PUMP ROOM, MACHINERY SPACES & INSIDE ACCOMODATION SPACES.
SMOKING IS ONLY ALLOWED IN A DESIGNATED SMOKING PLACE USUALLY THE SHIP’S SMOKE ROOM.
2. SIDE RAILING:
• Through out the ships length as per international standards a permanent side railing is attached via welding.
• The main purpose is to prevent any incident of man-overboard during ship’s rolling & pitching.
3.CROSS-OVER
FRONT:
• Cross-over fronts are provided where there might be any obstruction in the pathway.
• The main purpose of cross-over fronts is to provide a safe & easy passage for people to
walk through and prevent any accident related to trips and fall.
4. DETERMINED PASSAGE
WAY:
• When a ship faces severe heavy weather i.e. Rolling & Pitching, this pathway is determined for safe access on
deck.
• The walkway is secured with railing on both sides which can be grabbed in heavy rolling to avoid any
injury/incident.
LIFE SAVING APPLIANCES:
A- LIFE BOATS & RESCUE BOATS:
• A Life Boat & Rescue Boat, both are required to be installed on either sides of the parent ship.
• Each Life Boat must have sufficient seating capacity to accommodate the whole crew of the ship.
• Easy to operate, with self-lowering mechanism.
• Equipped with all essential items as required in case of an emergency.
• Include a Compression-Ignition Engine with sufficient fuel for continuous working up to 18 hrs., Smoke Flares, Hand Flares, Parachute Flares,
Food Ration, Medical First Aid, Signaling & Communication Devices.
B- SELF-INFLATING LIFE RAFTS:
• Self-Inflating Life Rafts are provided on various parts of the main cargo deck.
• Manual operation includes by operating through a painter mechanism.
• Able to self-inflate when submerged underwater at a depth of approx. 4 Meters through a Hydro-Static Release
Unit.
C- LIFE BUOYS WITH LIFE-LINE OR SELF-IGNITING LIGHT:
• Life-buoys are fitted at various points throughout the ship’s length.
They are used to help in case of any emergency. I.e: man-overboard.
The life line as seen in this picture is attached with the life buoy to help the person fallen overboard grab it
and pull the life buoy towards him.
• Some life buoys are equipped with self-igniting lights to help rescue operations at night time.
D- EMBARKATION LADDER:
• Embarkation ladders are required in events of boarding when one has to board in open seas.

• A hyper-mist fixed firefighting system is installed on each vessel as per IMO standards for fighting against fire incidents

• ALL ELECTRIC PANELS HAVE INSULATION MATS LAID OUT FOR USER
PROTECTION.
• PANELS HAVE DEAD METAL FRONT & INTERLOCK SYSTEM FOR
ADDITIONAL PROTECTION.
