Objectives
Profession:
A paid occupation, especially one that involves
prolonged training and a formal qualification.
Example: Nursing, Teaching, Engineering etc.
Professional
Professional:
A professional is a member of a profession or any person who earns a
living from a specified professional activity.
Examples:
Teacher.
Technician.
Laborer.
Physical.
Commercial Banker.
Engineer.
Lawyer etc.
Autonomy
Autonomy: In developmental psychology and moral, political,
and bioethical philosophy, autonomy is the capacity to make an
informed, un-coerced decision.
Autonomous organizations or institutions are independent or self-
governing.
Example organizations in Peshawar: KMU, LRH etc.
Another example: A 26-year-old male has been involved in a
high-speed accident, in which he sustained blunt force trauma to
his head as his head hit the front windscreen of his car. He did not
lose consciousness, he is fully responsive and has no indications
of neurological damage. So he is autonomous to take decision for
treatment for himself.
Accountability
The fact or condition of being accountable.
Responsibility, answerability, blameworthiness,
liability are the synonyms for accountability.
Example of accountability is when an employee
admits an error she made on a project. When an
employee is given the task of making sure a project
goes right and knows she will be blamed if it
doesn't, she can also be said to
have accountability for the project.
Unity
A code of ethics and professional
conduct outlines the ethical principles that govern
decisions and behavior at a company or
organization. They give general outlines of how
employees should behave, as well as specific
guidance for handling issues like harassment,
safety, and conflicts of interest.
