 GRILLED BANGUS
THE ONE THEY MO ST EAT OR CO OK IS
GRILLED BANGUS. THEY USUALLY EAT THE
TRADITONAL. THE EAT WITH THE HANDS, IN
TAGALOG IT MEANS "MAG-KAMAY". THEY
EAT ON BANANA LEAVES OR KNOW AS
BOODLE-BOO DLE FIGHT.

 INUBARANG MANOK
This dish is called Inubarang Manok and is a signature
dish in Aklan. It is a simple recipe consisting of chicken
simmered in coconut milk, along with a few spices. The
traditional dish is made with banana bud, but outside of
the Philippines, this ingredient might be difficult to find.
But no worries, for this recipe, I used banana pith which
is the fibrous tissue lining the banana peel. All you need
to do is scrape the peel of the banana with a knife or
spoon.

 Lechon.
Lechon is a pork dish in several regions of the
world, most specifically Spain and its former colonial
possessions throughout the world. The word lechon
originated from the Spanish term lechón; that refers to
a suckling pig that is roasted. Lechón is a popular
food in the Philippines. The dish features a whole
roasted pig cooked over charcoal. Additionally, it is a
national dish of the Philippines.

In our hometown Baguio City, it is very popular
and always being ordered in Good Taste
restaurant. In fact it's one of hubby's favorite.
It's very much different from the Indian Buttered
Chicken. This recipe definitely satisfied our
cravings! Awesomely delicious!

 MIKKI
The province of Marinduque is noted to produce some of the
best Miki noodles in the Philippines. Miki noodles are made up
of egg flour and are similar in size to the typical pancit
noodles. Miki pancit in Marinduque is a must-try.
Locals in Marinduque point out Ka Charing, also known as
Rosario Pareño, an 83-year old mother of three who operates
a small Miki noodle-making factory in her home. Her freshly-
made Miki noodles are highly sought after by the cooks in
Marinduque.

 SINALUDSOD
Sinaludsod, which shouldn’t be mistaken for saludsod, is
another native version of pancake from Marinduque.
Sinaludsod is best described as a rice flour pancake and
is regularly sold at food stands along with other kakanins
in the island province’s markets.
Other recipes of sinaludsod incorporate cassava, butter,
and coconut meat. The butter is pan-fried as is, flattened,
and served.

 Budin
Budin is made with fresh cassava,

cassava cake is usually sliced
triangularly like a pizza, making it
easy to eat as a snack even when
on the go! If you’re a fan of sweet,
