cultivation as the way of individuals to


overcome evil.

The two fundamental values of confucian teachings on
leadership are kindness (Ren) and justice (Yi) as the traits that
produce good, humane, and fair-minded leaders. (Han, 2013)

him to apply what he has learned

Meaning: “be superior” or “ ideal person”

1. Jen (Ren)-to love others (ultimate virtue)


“If a man sets his heart on benevolence
(ren), he will be free from evil.”

“Do not do unto others what you would


not want others to do unto you.”

They bring home the duty of serving
one’s parent’s and one’s prince.”
