CHAPTER 1

INRODUCTION
Technology is one of the things that have altered many aspects
of life in today's hectic world, and it has made us indivisible from the
network as a result of the growth of the internet. To provide better
services in a quick and efficient manner for both their staff and
themselves, including the way those people make appointments with
doctors, the majority of business sectors today use network services and
also offer Web online services.
Background of the Study
• As mobile technology has advanced in the modern era, new
viewpoints have emerged in the system of health monitoring. Due to
the illnesses' requirement for on-going monitoring, a patient was now
required to stay in at a hospital. Mobile technology allows for the
monitoring of patients' physiological data wherever they are.
• These types of web health tracking system improve the efficiency and
effectiveness of healthcare services.
• The idea of an integrated delivery system is another fundamental idea
that increases the demand
Statement of the problem
• In the past years, People tend to struggle going through medical
check-ups due to fully loaded rooms, miscommunications on
schedules, and uncertain places of hospitals due to people having
uncertainty of appointments and schedules is the problem people find
in having medical check ups
• people from rural places in Metro Manila often to find access to health
facilities for basic health care’s due poverty.
Objective of the Study
• This project aims to offer a user-friendly, error-free, dependable, and quick
management system
• To a feature that allows clients to view a list of doctors in that specific area. t also
aims to reduce the amount of manual work required to manage appointments,
patients, and doctors.
• the study aims to develop a web and mobile medicine information system and to
investigate on the problems that arise from the existing system.
• to design a computerized Online Scheduling Appointment System
Significance of the study
The findings of the study can benefit, first and foremost, Metro Manila
considering that they have a lot of health facilities. This study can help them to
evaluate how they are going to overcome the difficulties in terms of appointments,
monitor the patients, and the availability of health facilities.
Scope and Limitations

• The respondents of this research are the Health Facilities of Metro


Manila only.
• This involves a survey for those employees and patients who
experience difficulties in appointments at the facilities.
• The research has no control over this study. The limited time that was
given to the researchers might affect the results of the study.
Beneficiaries

The Beneficiaries of the research will be for all the people of Metro
Manila to imply prevention of diseases and epidemics and basic
personal health utilities. Doctors, nurses and hospital staffs are required
to use the web appointments for the schedules and pre-screening of
patients for possible contagious diseases and more. In addition, PWDs,
Senior citizens and children are the priority of the research matter due to
contagious diseases that may affect when coming in health facilities.
CHAPTER 2
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

Web Health Ecosystem

According to Hadzic and Dillion, 2018 implies that every creature


found in a digital ecosystem actively contributes in order to accomplish
anything.
The authors' statements that these components were connected to
digital health, innovation, and digital ecosystems as well as the
definitions and explanations of these concepts utilized in this study were
used to choose the digital health, innovation, and digital ecosystems
components. (Blobel, 2019)
This study adds to the growing body of knowledge on ecosystems for digital health innovation. Within the academic
sphere, a definition of digital health innovation ecosystems and a list of its components is given. It is suggested to
use a conceptual framework for digital health innovation ecosystems.

Appointment and Scheduler

Medical appointments have often been booked over the phone or in person with schedulers. These
techniques, which are based on verbal interactions with actual people, enable maximum adaptability in challenging
circumstances (Zhang X, Yu P, Yan J. 2014)
Capacity to schedule appointments with the appropriate healthcare professionals at the appropriate time affects
patients' satisfaction with appointment scheduling. (Wang W, 2011)
According to Heng, X., 2020 An example of health information technology innovation in the healthcare sector is an
online system for scheduling appointments at clinics. It can assist healthcare organizations in changing clinic-
centered practices to patient-centered practices and enhancing the effectiveness of information sharing for patients.
According to Kevat, A., 2019 In comparison to 17% before implementation, the percentage of
referrals reported as lost decreased to 6% after the integrated online system was put into effect. Pre-
implementation scheduled initial appointments were 16%, while post-implementation scheduled
initial appointments were 9%. The administrative effort of organizing appointments was lessened,
and families from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds had easier access to services.

METHODOLOGY

Research Design
• The study used the descriptive case study method of research by utilizing
interviews and focus group discussion to gather.
• It is a qualitative approach that focuses on identifying and describing phenomena
that now exist.
• This approach frequently entails just using observation and interviews to gather
more information an organized data source is observation
Data Gathering Techniques
After getting the approval of the research adviser, permission was sought to
conduct interview with the subjects. There is also an agreement between the
researchers and the respondents.
They were personally interviewed by the researchers in the hospital during their
convenient time. They are given assurance regarding the confidentiality of the data.
The responses were transcribed as soon as possible and were then coded and
categorized for interpretation.
