PROCEDURE
PRE
1. School Head shall organize the School Testing Team (STT), one
week before the opening of classes.
2. The Composition of the STT:

Teacher-Advisers/Mathematics Teachers/Test

3.The STT shall conduct orientation to the stakeholders, in particular
the parents, guardians, learning facilitators, and volunteer tutors, on
the purpose and manner of administration of the test.
4.Grades 1 to 3 teacher-advisers shall prepare the list of all the
learners who will take the numeracy assessment.
5.School Head shall request for the test materials from the
Division Office through Curriculum Implementation Division –
Mathematics Program.

6.The STT, led by the School Head/School Testing Coordinator
(STC) shall reproduce and prepare the test materials and venue.
The reproduction of the materials shall be charge to School
MOOE, subject to usual budgeting, accounting, auditing and
procurement rules and regulations.

7.Teacher-advisers/Mathematics teachers shall assist in the


distribution process of test materials.
DURING
1. The Teacher-Advisers/Mathematics Teachers/ Test
Administrators shall give briefing and instructions to the
learners for 15 minutes only before the test proper.

2. The teacher-advisers/mathematics teachers/test


administrators shall conduct the numeracy assessment to the
learners on the schedule given to them.
DURING
3.Examinees are expected to take the numeracy assessment for
one (1) hour but should the examinees need more time, they are
given extension until they finish the test with the guidance of the
teacher-advisers/ mathematics teachers/ test administrators.

4.The STT together with the teacher-advisers shall monitor the


conduct of the numeracy assessment.
POST
1.The Teacher-Advisers/Mathematics Teachers/ Test
Administrators shall return the test materials to the STC.

2.The Teacher-Advisers/Mathematics Teachers/ Test Administrators


shall conduct debriefing to the learners for around 15 minutes after
the test proper. Then, gather the experiences of the learners
through small talk regarding their thoughts and feelings in taking the
numeracy assessment. Another option is the use of a paper-based
journal about the items they found interesting, easy and difficult, but
this will not be graded.
POST
3.The STT shall collect, check, record the test results, and generate
numeracy card using Electronic Numeracy Assessment Tool (e-
NAT).
4.Results shall serve as baseline or end-line data and be utilized to
plan for instructional adjustments, interventions, and learning
recovery activities that will cater for improvement and mastery of
numeracy skills.
5.The STT shall keep the assessment records and testing
materials.
POST
6.The STT shall inform the results and give feedback to learners,
parents/guardians, and other stakeholders to gain support for the
improvement and mastery of expected outcomes.
7.Mathematics teachers shall design/reshape intervention/recovery
plans to address learning needs of learners along numeracy.
8. School shall craft interventions/recovery programs to achieve
better performance in Mathematics.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SCHOOL TESTING
TEAM (STT)
1. Conducts the numeracy assessment in Grade 1 to 3 on
pen and paper or online assessment.
2. Makes the list of Grade 1 to 3 learners and determine the
number of examinees in the school.
3. Provides test materials to the examinees.
4. Prepares the testing requirements for online
assessment.
5. Collects baseline and end line data, and keeps record using
the e-NAT for analysis and interpretation.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SCHOOL
TESTING TEAM (STT)
6.Orients the stakeholders of the school about the conduct
of the numeracy test.
7. Protects the security of the test materials.
8.Analyzes and interprets the test result/s of the numeracy
assessment.
9.Provides immediate feedback to the learners, parents,
community and other stakeholders.
