Background of the study
Home economics track offers various specializations that can
lead to livelihood projects at home. This strand aims to give you
job ready skills that can help you in findings the right
employment.
Home Economics strand counts as an interdisciplinary degree
that focuses on the economics of running a household. It may lead
to learn the student at different skills of chosen career path that
can give them skills as they use as they grow. Home Economics
give the students an experience like in a real situation in real life.
Because of its real-world applications, students may find these
techniques conductive to their everyday lives
Background of the study
According to Wikipedia (2018), Home economics, domestic
science or home science is a field of study that deals with home
and economics. It deals with the relationship between
individuals, families, communities, and the environment in
which they live. Family and consumer science was previously
known in the United States as Home Economics, often
abbreviated "Home Economics" or "HE". In 1994, various
organizations, including the American Association of Family
and Consumer Sciences, adopted the new term "family and
consumer science" to reflect the fact that the field covers
aspects outside of home life and wellness. The field is also
known by other names, including human sciences, home
science, and domestic economy.
Background of the study
In History, Catharine Beecher, American educator Ellen
Richards, one of the first to champion the economics of
running a home was Catherine Beecher, sister to Harriet
Beecher Stowe. Catherine and Harriet both were leaders in
mid-19th century North America in talking about domestic
science. Home Economics has a strong historic relationship to
the field of human ecology, and since the 1960s a number of
university-level Home Economics programs have been
renamed "human ecology" programs, including Cornell

Locale of the study
The study will be conducted and held on the school of
Camflora National High School (Annex) located at Brgy. Talisay,
San Andres Municipality, Province of Quezon and on the
Pagsangahan National High School located at Brgy. Pagsangahan,
San Francisco, Quezon. The researchers gathered there a data and
information about the relevance of the study and conduct a survey
to answer the survey questionnaire.
