I would like to thank my teacher for have given this
project to work on .I took the help of powerpoint and
internet to finish this project and I got to know
different ways in which I can reduce Environmental
issues and help earth regain its glory
INTRODUCTION
Environmental issues are a matter of concern these
days. With rising awareness, some of them have
become more cautious about the environment.
Environmental issues were not a matter of concern
in the years gone by.People were not aware of the
grave implications of environmental
degradation.The most significant environmental
issues of today are global warming, climate change,
the greenhouse effect and many such .
DIFFERENT TYPES OF ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AND PROBELEMS
1) Greenhouse gases – They have far-ranging environmental and health effects. They cause climate change
by trapping heat, and they also contribute to respiratory disease from smog and air pollution. Extreme weather,
food supply disruptions, and increased wildfires are other effects of climate change caused by greenhouse gases.
2) Ozone layer depletion -- Ozone is a gas in the lower level of stratosphere. Due to depletion of ozone layer, the
Earth is exposed to the ultra-violate radiation. ... These rays cause harmful effect to living beings on the Earth.
It affects process of photosynthesis in plants.
3) Pollution -- Pollution is the process of making the environment pollute the waterand the air by adding
harmful substances. Pollution causes an imbalance in the environment. ... People have converted the life support
system of all living people into their own resources and have greatly disrupted the natural ecological balance.
4)Global warming -- It is the increase of Earth's average surface temperature due to greenhouse gases that
collect in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket, trapping the sun's heat and causing the planet to warm up But
now days due to excessive trapping of green house gases the temaperature of earth is rising at a high rate
Factors contributing to environmental issues
Environmental issues are a matter of concern these days.
With the rise of pollution levels and depletion of the ozone
layer, all the countries in the world are concerned about the
environment. This is mainly because environmental
degradation threatens the existence of humankind.
Previously, no one even bothered to care about the
environment. People were careless about their surroundings.
But now, with rising awareness, some of them have become
more cautious.
The most significant environmental issues of today are global
warming and climate change. Very recently, the effect of
climate change was discussed at the United Nations.

Problems cropped out due to different environmental issues
1) As the average temperature of earth is increasing every year it is becoming very hard for
humans and other animals to bear it . To escape the heat humans are using air conditioners
and refrigerators to keep them and their food stuffs cool but these devices release huge
amounts of heat and green house gases in the atmosphere which further takes part in
increasing the temperature.
2) Pollution has become a deadly problem these days .Land pollution makes the soil unfertile
and hence no crops can be grown there any more . Water pollution makes the water toxic
and posionous and hence the aquatic life there is killed and also making the water harmful
for drinking due to which fresh water on earth is getting reduced every year at some places
water is sold at high rates as the water there has been polluted and fresh water is brought
from far away places and sold there at high rates .Air pollution makes the air harmful for
inhaling at some places people are being diagnosed of dangerous diseases because of inhaling
these poisonous gases .
3)Due to the depletion of ozone layer many harmful rays and UV rays are entering earth
and causing many skin diseases to humans and and harming plants .And this is all because
of harmful gases released by human devices which are destroying ozone layer.
Solutions to these global environmental issues and
problems
1)Replacing disposal items with reusable items.
2)The wastage of paper should be avoided.
3) Water and electricity should be conserved by using as
less as possible
4)Supporting environmental friendly practices.
5)Recycle the waste to conserve natural resources.
Conclusion
To conclude, we can say that humans are a major source of
environmental issues. Likewise, our activities are the major
reason that the level of harmful gases and pollutants have
increased in the environment. But now the humans have taken
this problem seriously and now working to eradicate it. Above
all, if all humans contribute equally to the environment then
this issue can be fight backed. The natural balance can once
again be restored.
