 Great Leaders.

 They knew their Strengths and


Weakness.

 And had faith in themselves.


Let’s See if A common Man can
become a Leader.

How a farmer took


the responsibility
of a Leader and
Lead the team
Bhuvan

He was normal
Man, who had been
waiting for the
Rain-God to bless
him and his
Villagers.
The British Treated the Villagers Badly.

All the Villagers were ready to beg for


Mercy.

Bhuvan had the heart and stood against


the exploitation.

 He stood for the people.

 He believed in himself.

 He knew the
consequences of his
action.
He Had Supporters:
People who trusted him.
British Came Up With a Cruel
Plan
 The Villagers and
Bhuvan were
challenged.

 All the Villagers


were against
Bhuvan and his
decision.

They challenged the Villagers


for a game of cricket.
Game of Cricket
 Time of 3 months
to learn and Play
Cricket.

 If Won would be
free and if lost
then 3 times the
TAX to be
playable.
Villagers In Panic
Playing the Rulers, If lost worst
conditions.
Bhuvan was Blamed and Made
Responsible for Difficulties.
All the Villagers asked Bhuvan to
bow in front of the Rulers which he
refused to.
Bhuvan was Isolated by the
Villagers.
 Did not Loose the Hope.

 Preparing and Learning the Game for


the Challenge.
Bhuvan Started Changing the
People.

Motivation:
 Telling the importance

of winning and the


consequences.
 Letting people Know

their Strengths and


ways to use them for
Game.
Attracting More Attention.
 Showing his people that its some
thing very easy by starting to do
things himself.

 Taking the fear out of the minds,


searching for resources.
Made His Team:
Convinced the People created the
confidence in them.
Accepted Help from All Sides:
 Invited the helping hand
from any one.

 Did Know the reason for


the Help.

 No decision was Blind


Any One can Join the Team.
 Gave Importance to Talent

 Convinced the Team and the Village


about the ill effects of Discrimination.
Started Training:
Resource Management :

 He Learnt the strengths of the team


and assigned the work based on their
strengths.
 Everybody in the Team was important
and importance was explained by
him.
Game Plan:
Strategy Planning:

 According to the Strengths Assigned


them the work and Goal.

 Not only Assigning the Team a Goal


he Set his own Goals.
Finally The Day Comes:

 The Day of Game.

 The Day of Life.

 The Day that they


were waiting for.
 He was Ready for the Day with Plan.

 Ready for the challenge with the


team totally energetic entered the
Ground.

 The Day Started of with his Plan.


When Plans Fail:

 All Went well until the Plan failed.

 He was surprised but the Policy:


“When Plan A fails there is always
Plan B”.
What was Plan B:
 Now then the Plan was not working
he as such did not have any plan B,
But for the team felt that he always
had one.

 He did not get impatient, did not let


the nerves play on him. Which gave
the team the Confidence.
Problems:
 The Team does mistakes.

 One of the main weapon was


disappointing.

 One of the Players does not Perform.


Problem Handling:
 He never Complained, nor
encouraged complaints in the team.

 He knew the Problem asked the team


not to discuss the problem but think
for solutions.
Learning's:
 As the Progress of the match he
learnt the mistakes and started
reacting to them quickly.

 Viz. Changing the Bowlers, not


Straining one of them for a long time,
Supporting the team against all.
Reacting to the Problems:
 When got to know that there was a
person in the team who was against
the Team.
 All wanted to kill him, he wanted to
know the reason for betrayal.
 Spoke to him Counseled him about
the importance of the match and the
difference of this from the Personal
Life
Turning Point:Decision Made
 Gave that person another chance to prove
himself.
 When he observed the bowl turn gave the
ball to the man who already failed with ball
already.
 The Team was not happy with both the
decisions.
 No One spoke because he had created that
belief in the team about his decisions.
Half Way Through:
 He always was
thinking, never
celebrated the
success
completely.
 Planned the Other
half, and led from
the front.
Challenges:
 They Planned to stick around but then
in some time they started loosing
wickets.

 He was disappointed but not


dishearten, he showed the confidence
standing strong and tall.
Inspiration:
 He had a Friend who was
injured, but it was for
his commitment, that his
friend also wanted to
Support him irrespective
of his condition.

 They and their


Partnership made the
difference.
True Leader Ship:
 Last few runs makes sure he takes
the responsibilities of reaching the
target.

 When the Last Ball to be faced by the


other person he never lost hope nor
let his partner loose confidence.
Things Worked Out:
 He never celebrated the
success early nor got
dejected early, this gave
him an opportunity.

 He made Most out that


opportunity grabbing it
with both hands.
A Leader Emerges Out of an
Ordinary Person:

Some One who was opposed by the


villagers and friends, won their hearts
and respect what else would make a
Leader than this feeling.
Leader
 Any one can be a Leader if:
 Believes in himself and his
decisions.
 Knows his team(strenghs and
weakness).
 Who can Plan and work for a
Strategy.
 Importantly one who
wants to be Leader, and
stands to pave path for
others.
Let’s all be Innovative to
Lead the World.
