    At the end of the session, you should be able to:

    - define right triangle.


    - evaluate trigonometric functions of a right triangle
    using a scientific calculator.
    - apply trigonometric functions in solving right
    triangle.
    - Solve real life problems related to right triangles.

    Right triangle
    – A right triangle is one in which one of the angles is 90°
    – It is a closed figure polygon that has three(3) sides and
    angles.

    • We call the longest side the hypotenuse


    • We call the two arms of the right triangle as the adjacent and
    opposite.
    The Pythagorean theorem was discovered by Pythagoras through the ropes that
    were used to calculate lengths needed to build pyramids in order to lay their
    foundations accurately.
