The implementation of the system was done using Spring boot and Web technologies.
It collects related information from all the departments of an organization and maintains files, which are
used to generate reports in various forms to measure individual and overall performance of the students.

SPRING BOOT
Spring Boot is a Framework from “The Spring Team” to ease the bootstrapping and
development of new spring Applications. It provides defaults for code and annotation
configuration to quick start new Spring projects within no time. It follows “Opinionated
Defaults Configuration” Approach to avoid lot of boilerplate code and configuration to
improve Development, Unit Test and Integration Test Process.
Why Spring Boot?
o To ease the Java-based applications Development, Unit Test and Integration Test
Process.
o To reduce Development, Unit Test and Integration Test time by providing some
defaults.
o To increase Productivity.
GRADLE
Gradle allows custom dependency scopes, which provides better-modeled and faster
builds. Maven dependency conflict resolution works with a shortest path, which is impacted by
declaration ordering. Gradle does full conflict resolution, selecting the highest version of a
dependency found in the graph.
POSTMAN
Postman is a great tool when trying to dissect RESTful APIs made by others or test ones
you have made yourself. It offers a sleek user interface with which to make HTML requests,
without the hassle of writing a bunch of code just to test an API's functionality.
H2 Database Engine
When employees are able to shift focus from everyday and routine tasks, they can better
focus on the students and how to serve them better.
During the course of running a procedure, UMS can keep track of everyone involved in the
process. Due dates are carefully tracked .
The UMS will handle all defined business rules and regulations & will restrain all required
information to correctly identify and classify cases and take decisions accordingly.
Using a workflow system, you can easily integrate your workflow processes with remote
offices, work-at-home employees, business partners, and other branches.
Using a workflow system, you can automate many of the routine, paper intensive tasks
done by staff members. Even new employees can be productive faster.

Customization
UMS edge relies on total customization. The first step to implementation to make the UMS your
online management system is through the customization of the following:
1.Design your own Layout Design for the three separate UMS parts:

Faculty
Administration
2.Create the UMS Rules according to your university Business Rules
3.Choose the Additional Features which you would like your UMS to include.
Testing
After customization, the UMS will be ready for functionality testing according to the given
rules.
Insuring accuracy & precision in processes and/or procedures.
This short period test might result in amendments of rules.
The testing phase involves our team, students, faculty and administration.
Test data will be used to ensure all procedures have been implemented.
After having a finalized customized version of the UMS the system is ready to receive all
the university data
Data Migration
After customizing the UMS to suite your university, the Data will be migrated into the
UMS. Administrators can manage the Meta data of the UMS using the Meta Data Module
provided by the UMS:

• Courses
• Instructors
• Students/ Applicants
Online Deployment
After Migrating all the data needed by the UMS, the system will be now ready to be
utilized by the students, faculty and the administrators.
The UMS will now be ready for deployment and transformation of the university
management to an online management system.
The System can be accessed in 2 ways:
a. Through independent links for each section.(The students will access their
through the Student Part, the faculty will access through the Faculty Part and the
Administrators will access through the Admin Part. )
b. Through one entry point for all users.
Faculty / Student / Administration Training
The UMS will have customized tutorials explaining the functionality of all the options in
the UMS.
The Training of the student, faculty and administrator will be done using our customized
tutorials and documentation on the usage of the new online UMS system.
However, The UMS Help Center will be the feedback for all users in case they encounter
any problem, or if the provided documentation was not sufficient to perform a certain
action.
Sufficient training will be provided to people from the University IT department who
would be able to train other administrators , students and Faculty on using the UMS.

CONCLUSION
An example of such, future work is evaluation questions module that can be used to
evaluate teachers, and output the statistics of the evaluation.
