SAY GOODBYE TO NASAL SWAB

TEST
HELLO TO BREATH AND SALIVA
TEST
FOR COVID 19 TESTING
PROCESS FOR BREATH AND SALIVA
TEST FOR COVID-19 TESTING
o Breath Aerosols
o Biosafety Station
o Standardized Saline Solution
o Collection Kit
o Put to device that can detect the
coronavirus
ADVANTAGES

More accurate than SWAB test

Efficient
Speed
• This advocacy or campaign helps us to
make a fast result for COVID-19 using the
material such as the breath and saliva test
for COVID-19. It is much better for all
individuals that have this test kit because
we don't feel any pain in this COVID test
kit. And this COVID-19 testing kit helps a
lot of doctors or frontliners to fight the
COVID-19 in a fast way.
●Researchers reporting in ACS Nano have
developed a prototype device that non-
invasively detected COVID-19 in the exhaled
breath of infected patients.
●the device showed 76 percent accuracy in
distinguishing COVID-19 cases from controls
and 95 percent accuracy in discriminating
COVID-19 cases from lung infections.
●The sensor could also distinguish, with 88
percent accuracy, between sick and recovered
COVID-19 patients.
• Project ARK pushes for breath, saliva-based COVID-19 tests in
Philippines. The private sector initiative Project ARK (Antibody Rapid
Test Kit) is pushing for the use of breath and saliva-based coronavirus
disease 2019 (COVID-19) tests in the Philippines. Project ARK supports
the use of the latest COVID-19 testing technology from Israel. In the
breath test, breath aerosols will be collected and a machine called a
biosafety station will be used to hold samples. This test can produce
results quicker and also detect asymptomatic COVID-19 cases even
during the first two days of infection. In the saliva test, samples will be
collected by gargling a standardized saline solution. It will seek
government approval to conduct clinical trials in the Philippines using
the new testing technologies. The Department of Health said its experts
are studying the
new tests but maintained that the polymerase chain
reaction test remained the gold standard.
• Saliva and breathing covid testing is more efficient
than the way of testing before. EasyCOV test or
saliva testing is more easy to use, this test requires
no lab and provides rapid results, it takes only 1
hour for the result unlike the SWAB test. I think this
would be a great help for this outbreak, an easy way
to test patience with symptoms. EasyCOV has been
clinically validated. It confirmed a highly
satisfactory performance in terms of specificity and
sensitivity.
• Our topic is “Breath and Saliva Testing for COVID-
19.” We chose this topic because many people have
not enough money to pay for the swab testing and
when people is need to swab test, they feel pain
because of that. So we want to change the usual
routine which is instead of swab testing, why not just
do the breath and saliva testing? That’s a better
option that the swab testing. In our topic, we want to
explain to you what is the benefits and advantages of
“Breath and Saliva Testing for COVID-19” and what
is the disadvantages of swab testing.
• Many states have expanded their testing capacities
over the past several months, making it possible for
most individuals with symptoms or exposure to
COVID-19 to access a test. Many health officials are
recommending that you seek out a test if you are
experiencing symptoms. Breathalyzer and Saliva
testing is an alternative and cost efficient aside from
the swab test and it is more effective because saliva is
one of the major factor on how viruses are
transmitted to one another.
• Tracing of those with symptoms of
Covid 19 will be faster because it is a
modern technology through the use of
breath and saliva testing than the
swab test, according to its users, the
swab test process is painful
• It can reduce the risk of
exposure and infection for our
health care .
Ways in promoting the Breath and Saliva
Test

• Researches
• Gathering more and enough data
• Clinical Trials
• Global Testing
• Should be approved by Government
