    Health :According to a recent article from CNN, users check their phones 34 times a day . In
    recent times there has been over dependence of people on smart devices. The fear is – Homes
    might become smarter, but people might become unsmart
    Human psychology :According to recent research, the addiction to Smartphone is increasing
    rapidly. With Smart Homes , such problems would surely be at a rise
    Technology controls our mind and lives A smart home should provide families with a feeling of
    control over their lives. It is also established that obsession with our Smartphone is also
    responsible for significantly altering our brain‘s perception for the device.
    Negative effects of technology on kids : Research has linked too much screen time or low-quality
    screen time to behavioral problems, less time for play and loss of social skills, obesity, sleep
    problems, violence.

    Qualitative and Quantitative Increase in Productivity
    The most significant impact of technology is greater productivity. As a result of increase
    in productivity, real wages of employees increase and prices of some products decline.
    Thus the benefit of technology spreads throughout the whole social system. This
    results in the demand for more technological advancement.

    Capital Outlay : The main smart home disadvantage is the high cost of setting up a fully functional smart
    home. Unsurprisingly, smart technologies are quite expensive. homes with pre-installed smart technologies
    are more expensive to buy or rent. Smart technologies, therefore, raise the cost of living. It is only natural to
    stop to think if they are worth the huge investment associated with their installation.
    Impact of Changes on Products and Organizations: Technology refers to change and more change. This
    poses another throat to business community. A new technology may develop a new industry but destroy an
    existing one.
    Import of Technology: For the business houses who wish to import technology, there are additional
    problems. They will have to provide for the training of technicians and supervisors, testing and replacement
    of raw materials and parts, which are not available locally.

    1. Smart Plugs :  energy intensive in their consumption, using over four times the amount . There is
    continuous use of electricity throughout the simulation period
    2. Energy payback : time of home automation in term of the electricity consumption of the devices is
    negative by 1.6 years
    3. Plastic Rich : Smart Devices are plastic-rich
    4.Marine Toxicity :The factor having the highest impact is the marine toxicity where the main components
    contributing to it are the electronic devices
    5. Human toxicity : is the second largest and the main contributor to it is the management devices as well.
    6. Smart meter : The smart meter has a fairly stable share on the environmental impact of around 20% for
    each impact factors evaluated.
    7. Management device : is the one that has the most fluctuation, as it is the main contributor of resource
    depletion (59% of the entire system), but plays a minor role in other impact factor such as water depletion.
