     GSRTC is a state owned corporation


     A three-tiered administrative structure: Board of directors, Central office, Officers at the divisional
    level
     GSRTC was a revenue contributor for the state government
     GoG imposed 17.5% passenger taxes (P-tax)
     Coupled with motor vehicles tax (MVT) and toll tax, the aggregate tax was around 20 per cent of the
    traffic earnings
     It remitted around Rs 2.34 billion as taxes in 2010-11

    schedules and 42,016 trips (38,031 privileged and financially weaker sections of
