What is the DIGSI4 - Matrix ?

 The DIGSI4 matrix is the core of the DIGSI4 Configuration Tool

 It provides a single page graphic platform where all information with its
interconnections are displayed

 It allows configuration (routing, mapping) of all information processed

within the device such as :

 binary inputs, binary outputs, LEDs

 signals from various protection/control/metering blocks
 system interface telegrams
 HMI interface
 signals to and from the CFC PLC area
 memory buffers

Structure of the DIGSI4 - Matrix

The matrix consists of three mayor colums:
 Information Column
 Source Column
 Destination Column

For convenient display all columns together with their subsections can be
maximised or minimised

Different filter and selection criteria can be activated to focus on relevant

sections of information

The Information Column consists of various Protection / Control /

Measurement groups with specific pre-defined information dependant on
device type and their basic configuration
Additional customised information can be added from standard
information catalogue

Structure of the DIGSI3 I/O Configuration
 BI,BO,LEDs are configured with pull-down menues
 time consuming, no overview about other configurations
 functions and information are selected from lists

In the DIGSI4 Matrix the I/O Mapping
is shown in one page
 For one information multiple ticks are possible on destinations

 For different information the same destination can be selected

 Different functions can be triggered by the same source (e.g. BI)

 However one function can only be triggered by one source !

 from a specific binary input or CFC or Function Key
