The most important tourism


organization, the specialized agency
of the UN for tourism development
World Travel and Tourism Council
(WTTC)
It’s aim includes:

 Government recognizing travel and tourism

 Business balancing economics with people,


culture and environment

 A shared pursuit of long term

 WTTC hosts the annual Global Travel and


Tourism Summit which provides a forum in
tackling the main issues conforming the
industry.
Pacific Asia Travel association (PATA)

Claims to be the leading


authority advocate and
catalyst for the responsible
development travel and
tourism industry in the Asia

Philippine Tourism Agencies
DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM

It is the primary government agency


responsible for encouraging,
promoting, and developing tourism
as a major socio-economic activity to
generate foreign currency and
employment and o spread the
benefits of tourism to both private
and public sector

The Department is the government


agency responsible for the
promotion of agricultural
development by providing the policy
framework, public investments, and
support services needed for
domestic and export-oriented
business enterprises.
Department of Foreign Affairs

Is tasked to contribute to the enhancement


of national security and the protection of
the territorial integrity and national
sovereignty, to participate in the national
endeavor of sustaining development and
enhancing the Philippines' competitive
edge.

and MICE destination.
