The Architect does not assume any of the responsibilities and liabilities of the
other professionals (RLPs).
PROJECT CLASSIFICATION
• Professional architectural work is classified in accordance with the degree of
complexity and the creative skill required to meet the requirements of the
Client within technical, functional, economic and aesthetic constraints.
METHOD OF COMPENSATION
• Percentage (%) of Project Construction Cost (PCC)
• The Architect’s Fee based on the PPC shall be detailed in the Architect’s Guidelines
• Multiple of Direct Personnel Expenses
• This cost-based method of compensation is applicable only to non-creative work such
as accounting, secretarial, research, data gathering, preparation of reports and the like.
This method of compensation is based on technical hours spent and does not account
for creative work since the value of creative design cannot be measured by the length
of time the designer has spent on his work.
