PROJECT PHASE 1 - ZEROTH REVIEW - 18.09.2017 - SIET , COIMBATORE

INTRODUCTION

 Wrist band is a device integrated with multiple devices.

 Acts as a Smart band using IOT.
 The IOT system that has the application which is programmed with all the
required data (Anger, Anxiety, Nervousness and fear).
 When these situations are faced by the victim, the various sensors generates
the emergency signals which are to be transmitted to the smart phone.
 Based on the transmission, GSM sends help request by sending messages
to the nearest police station, relatives and the people in the near radius
through Google map link to save the person.

MOTIVATION OF THE PROJECT

 The Important purpose of the project is to be improve the security of the

Children.
 The person who need to be monitored will be provided with equipment of
smart band, the alert messages which are to be sent to the police station and
family members.
 To the existing project, we have included the concept of Location based
monitoring, in which when the person moves out of monitoring range,
then the alert messages are generated and sent to the the police station and
family members.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
 The objective of the project is the “Smart band integrated with IOT
system”.
 The smart band tracks the activity of the person and if faced with perilous
situations it triggers the alert messages which are to be sent to the police
station and family members.
 The smart band also monitors the person when crosses out of the locational
safe zone then the above process takes place.
 GSM is used to send the messages and IOT monitors this system 24*7
hours.

EXISTING PROJECT
 Smart band module consists of microcontroller, motion sensor, pulse rate
sensor, temperature sensor and it should have the connection of power
supply, BLE module.
 All these devices are associated to the microcontroller that controls all the
functions of the electronic devices or system.
 These units precisely monitor the situations and takes actions accordingly.

WORKING - EXISTING SYSTEM
The smart phone is connected to smart band device through Bluetooth
Low Energy (Bluetooth 4.0) module.
The device communicates with smart phone through a specially designed
application that acts an interface between the smart band and the phone.
The data directed by the smart band such as the pulse rate, temperature of
the body along with the motion of the body is continuously monitored by
the application.

In case of abuse, the app directs the smart phone to perform the following
tasks:

 Sends message to the family members along with the co-ordinates.

 Co-ordinates sent to nearest police station requesting immediate action.
 Also sends information to people in near vicinity requesting public
attention.

PROJECT PHASE 1 – ZEROTH REVIEW - 18.09.2017 - SIET , COIMBATORE

 The app is programmed in such a way that it uses the GPS of the smart
phone to track the co-ordinates and monitor the movement for easy track
ability.
 The help message is sent to the family members and the nearest police
station through the GSM facility that is in built in the phone.
 The app also provides a social platform where the people who have this
application installed get the messages instantaneously.
 This feature is executed by using internet facilities of the phone of the user.

PROPOSED WORK
 In this proposed work, the person is monitored using smart activity tracker.
 A smart band acts as an activity tracker which keeps monitoring the
person.
 The smart band is connected to the IOT system.
 Sensors are interfaced to the smart band to monitor the person.
 Whenever a perilous situations monitored by IOT occurs, then alert
messages are sent to police station and family members of the particular
person.
 The threshold criteria for the activity to happen is the zone where the
person is present.

WRIST BAND SECTION
 A PIC Microcontroller is the heart of the system used for the processing.
 The sensors (typically heartbeat sensor, temperature sensor) are
connected to the wrist band for monitoring purpose.
 A LCD 16*2 Display to the display the contents.
 A GSM Modem to send alert messages to the police station and family
members.
 An IOT system for monitoring the activity of the person through the use of
the Internet facilities.
 RF Transmitter and Receiver for connecting the devices.
