PRINTING:
Localized coloration is known as printing.
Dyeing:
Uniform colouration along length and width of fabric
Only single colour is possible.
No difference in colour between front and back side of fabric
Aqueous dyeing medium to low viscosity
Dyeing in batchwise, continuous or semi-continuous method.
Dyeing is achieved in fibre, yarn, fabric, garment form
Printing:
Localized coloration
Colour is applied locally in the form of design/pattern
More than one color is possible
Difference in colour between front and back side of fabric
Printing paste medium of high viscosity
Fabric printing in continuous method (open width form) only
Fabric printing is achieved in fabric and garment form.

Singeing
The aim : a smooth and fiber-free surface
Singeing is a thermo-mechanical process to burn out
protruding fibres, surface fibres

Block printing
The designs are carved on a wooden or
metal block and the paste dyestuff is
applied to the design on the face of the
block. The block is pressed down firmly by
hand on the surface of the fabric.

Digital printing
In this form of printing micro-sized
droplets of dye are placed onto the fabric
through an inkjet printhead. The print
system
software interprets the
data supplied by academic Textiledigital
image file. The
digital image file has
the data to control the droplet output so that
the image quality and color control may
be achieved. This is the latest
development in textile printing
and is
expanding very fast. Digital Textile
