Higgs Particles
An elementary particle
Higgs boson is the quantum excitation of the Higgs
field- which is responsible for the masses of
fundamental particles.
The Higgs particle was named after the British
theorist Peter Higgs who along with Robert Brout
and Francis Englert theorised its existence in 1964.
[Nobel Prize on December 2013]
Although Higgs name has come to be associated
with this theory, several researcher between 1960
and 1972 independently developed different parts
of it.
On July 4, 2012 CERNs LHC discovered Higgs
particle.

Spontaneous Symmetry
Breaking : When all the
terms of the lagrangian
are invariant under the
gauge symmetry but
the minimum energy
state or the vacuum
state dont respect the
symmetry, then the
symmetry is said to be
spontaneously broken.

Higgs Mechanism: The

Higgs mechanism is
the way that gauge
boson and chiral
fermions dynamically
acquire mass.

In the beginning of the universe, Higgs

boson were moving and zooming around the
universe at incredible speed.
As universe cooled at some point Higgs
boson frozen everywhere and filled up
the
entire universe.
The particular Temperature was 4 quadrillion
degrees. Enough for Higgs boson

to get frozen.
