Legislature
A legislature is a governmental deliberative body with the power
to adopt laws. Legislatures are known by many names including
parliament, general assembly, senate, or congress. In
parliamentary systems of government, the legislature is formally
supreme and appoints the executive. In presidential systems of
government, the legislature is considered a branch of government
which is equal to the executive.
Function of the
The Union Executive consists of the President of India, the
Executive
Vice-President and the Council of Ministers headed by the
Prime Minister.
Function of the
Judiciary
Judiciary is the third organ of the government. It plays an
important role in protecting the rights and freedom of the
citizens. It also plays a significant role in analyzing and
interpreting the provisions of laws and the Constitution .
It Insures that the government is run according to the
Laws.
It is to protect the Rights and Liberty of the people in
the country.
It provides projection against legislature, Executive or
Individuals.
It has a power to Judicial Review. (to review laws passed
by the legislature and orders made by executive are not
according to the constitution they are then declare illegal
by the Judiciary.)
Violation of laws is Punishable by Judiciary (Criminal
disputes) resolve by the Judiciary.
