    Bahir Dar Chamber of Commerce

    Vision
    The Vision of Bahir Dar Chamber of Commerce is to see a vibrant private sector that creates additional jobs to the unemployed and contribute towards poverty alleviation in Ethiopia.

    Mission
    To strengthen the private sector through support services To assure the quality and efficiency of business management by providing relevant trainings and Business Development Services (BDS) to micro, small, Medium and large private enterprises To advocate for the creation of conducive environment for domestic investors Advocacy for the development of the private sector and facilitation of positive government-private sector relationship.

    Achievements
    The Chamber has through its members been successful in reviewing tax assessment as a result of which some 333 businesses benefited from tax reduction. The chamber has lobbied up to the level of the regional government for the reduction of rents and tariff for utilities. The chamber gives regularly services (advocacy, lobbying and representation; information dissemination; translation services; support to business associations).
