WHAT is a car?
A car is an improved machine used for
human, animal and goods transportation.

 A car is only used on land.

 Today cars are the most commonly used
means of transport around the whole
world.
 There have been a lot of modifications and
developments made on cars from the time
they were first made .
Basic Exterior Parts of a
Car.
A car has different parts, both interior and exterior. The
interior parts may vary according to the cars because
different models and different levels of advancement in cars
have different interior accessories but the exterior parts are
basically the same and they include;
 Side/Rearview mirrors: These are the mirrors on the sides of
the doors that are used by the driver to look in his rear and
see the cars coming. It is important for the prevention of
accidents.
 Doors: These are the simplest and most common parts of a
car because all types of cars have them and they are simply
the ones that let the passengers in or out.
 Wheels/Tires: These are also some of the most basic parts
and they are the ones that the car moves or rolls on.
 Bonnet: This is the front part of the car that houses the
engine and battery and some other instruments although
they may sometimes be under the seat. It is also very basic.
 Trunk/Boot: This is the rear of the car that is commonly
called the boot but sometimes also the trunk. It is where
Cars have been developed and modified tremendously since
they were first made in 1771, as is demonstrated in these
pictures showing the evolution of cars. The first car made
was steam-powered. Different inventors across Europe
especially from Great Britain, Germany, France and Russia
were competing in trying to make the most efficient
automobiles after looking up Frenchman Joseph Cugnot, who
made the first one. The steam engines were continually
made until 1806 when Swiss Francois Isaac de Rivaz made
the first internal combustion engine and fellow inventors
across Europe followed suit. The first major production of an
automobile was by Karl Benz – the founder of the Mercedes
Benz company – in Germany. He made it after the founding
of his Benz company which still makes some of the world’s
best cars today. Different inventors tried to outdo each
other al over the world from Europe to Japan and cars have
been making tremendous developments ever since
.
Cars have even developed to the
extent of putting forth an idea of
flying cars. A lot of the
development of cars can be due to
science fiction which influences
carmakers to make more
luxurious, posh and faster cars.
The following list includes some of
This is our first English car and it is badd!
It has everything you would need from
backseat and front seat entertainments
including TVs and a crazy stereo. At least
we can say this one has ridden Kigali’s
crazy streets! Anyway it’s seriously
awesome with its GPS verbal systems
(meaning you feed in an address an and it
tells you when you’ve passed), its refusal
to crash by stopping itself when it gets too
close to another car’s bumper or to the
curb on the road and to top it all up, it has
a speed of over 300 km/h. So you would
This ride is definitely “gallardo” as its
name suggests, which means “striking”
in Italian. This, car with its 5000 cc
engine and 6-speed single clutch semi-
automatic, IS ultimately at the top of its
game!! It was made in 2003 to compete
with the Ferrari 360 and is still around
to compete with its replacement the
Ferrari F430, is that crazy or what! It is
estimated to be around $265,800.
How siick is this. This right here is
the fastest car in the world! It was
released in 2005, with extreme
comfort and a speed of over 450
km/h… and we used to say the
Range is fast! It was named after
its Italian founder and that tells us
how creative he must have been.
It is worth over $ 1,000,000.
This is the latest Aston, released last
year. It was released in partnership with
its classic watch partner, Jaeger
LeCoultre, making the first system where
the car security and other electronic
systems are controlled by a watch of the
LeCoultre brand worn by the driver. It’s
totally worth its $ 250,000 plus price tag.
This V-12 twin turbo-change engine is not
disappointing with its breathtaking
engine sounds and 310 km/h plus speed,
it’s a real asset.
Are all English cars siick or is it just us?!...
Though it originated from the German
company Volkswagen, it’s still
characteristically English. It has 2 doors and a
crazy 318 km/h speed, making it a sleek sports
car. It has 6000 cc twin-turbocharged W12
engine. In 2007, this crazy machine was driven
by world rally champion Juha Kankkunen who
broke the world speed record on ice in it. It’s
worth around US$ 300,000 and you
understand what would have to be going down
This is one of the sickest cars we got.
It’s the Porsche Nine-eleven turbo. It’s
pretty obvious why it’s called turbo.
It’s German and it is incredibly fast
and luxurious. It was first made in
1964 and this is the 2007 model. It’s
owned by billionaires Bill Gates and
Paul Allen. It has a crazy 5600 CC
engine that roars crazily. It moves at
over 315 km/h and is estimated to be
This 5700 CC, 330 km/h sleek and powerful
engine is made by the same company as the
nine-eleven. It is very fast, sleek and
luxurious. It is one of the most popular sports
cars. It has very luxurious black, soft leather
with a crazy stereo made to match its speed.
It can be put in comparison to the Ferrari
Enzo seeing as it was made to compete with
it. It has super-effective brakes that are a
compulsory accompaniment to its
outrageous speed. It is priced around US$
This right here is the first classic car we have
and it is incredibly amazing. It’s also the first
Mercedes and it is proof of the splendor of
German cars. It’s got everything you’d need if
you were on a business trip or long journey
from your own personal office with you
anywhere you go and all forms of
entertainment seeing as it has a TV and
amazing stereo. It’s got all types of luxury
accessories for both the passenger and the
driver. It’s estimated to be around US$ 250,000
and that tells you how deep your pockets
This is one of the most classic cars on the list yet.
It is well-known all over the world for its class and
it has been close to the top seat from the ’30s. All
the loaded guys of old times moved in Phantoms.
The Coupe is the 2008 model and it is terribly
badd… only millionaires roll in this. This car is just
so attractive and people always fall in love with it,
with its doors that open in opposite directions, its
luxurious seats, its entertainment accessories and
its super cool mobile office. It is also fairly fast
although nothing is felt when in it because of its
extraordinary comfort. It is very much of a
business and classic car. I won’t put a price tag on
