NOTE:
This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When
reporting the repair, use "PI10657" as the Part Number and
"7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim
Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code.
Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI10657" as
the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the
Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description
Code.

PROBLEM
The HEUI pump needs to be replaced on certain C9 Marine Genset Engines.
The existing HEUI pump can generate a high pressure oil leak between
the fuel transfer pump housing and main pump housing. Due to the nature
of this failure in this application, a fire could be generated and may
result in personal injury or death. The new pump will also incorporate
improved components internally, which should increase the durability of
the pump.

Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual SENR9664 for the removal and
installation instructions for the unit injector hydraulic pump. Also
see the locations in Image1 for location of o-rings that should be
replaced. Transfer fittings from the removed fuel transfer pump to the
new pump.

may result in personal injury or death. You will not be charged for
the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this

service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete
this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 16Jan2008 when
scheduling this service.
