NDT LEVEL III REFRESHER/TRAINING COURSES AT MUMBAI, INDIA
February / March 2019

Dear All NDT Personnel

ISNT Mumbai Chapter is happy to announce a Training/Refresher courses for various NDT Method and
Basic on public demand. The courses are scheduled in February / March 2019. The courses will be
conducted only if sufficient registration is received well before the course schedule. On appropriate
registration the dates will be confirmed.
These courses are unique blend for the requirement of certification examination by ISNT as well as ASNT.
Attending our courses will enhance your understanding of the subject as the coaching is by well
experienced faculties. Mock up examinations (written) at the end of each method will help in preparing for
the final examination. The participant has to indicate which examination he is attending.
ASNT Level III examinations have been made on-line and as such one can select the date suitable to
individual. The information for registration and payment of fees to ASNT has to be obtained from the
website of ASNT – www.asnt.org. There is a nearby our training centre, examination centre for ASNT is
located in Andheri, Mumbai. The centres for online examination in Mumbai are listed as annexure I
ISNT Level III examination conducted by NCB will be at the end of each method course. The additional
requirement for the examination is to select at least one of the two sectors for the method and also ISNT
level II certificate or ISNT Level II practical examination. The fees for NCB examination are as per the Table
2 and is to be paid alongwith the course fee.
Refresher Course for NDT Level III : Clarification
AS th course is common for both ASNT and ISNT some candidates are having some common doubts, we
try to clarify as follows:

ISNT Level III Examination:

a) It is necessary to undergo training before taking the examination.
b) Candidates, who have not been qualified by ISNT as NDT Level II in the method(s) need to take
Level II practical examination in addition to Level III examination written examination. Therefore,
candidates shall prepare accordingly for the practical examination.
c) Candidates need to choose specific sector (s) for the method (s) they are appearing. It is possible to
appear in more than one sector. Selection of at least one sector for examination is mandatory to get
certified in method.
d) Candidates shall meet the NDT working experience requirements and submit supporting
documents.
e) Those who appear for the first time need to take Basic examination also along with the method
selected. Once Basic is cleared, candidate need to appear for method(s) only for adding to his
qualification.
f) NCB will be conducting the examination in accordance with IS 13805. NCB is a central certification
Board of India. NCB examination is written examination conducted at the centre and not on-line
examination.
ASNT Level III Examination:
a) ASNT Level III examination is conducted by ASNT and is on-line examination.
b) Candidates shall meet ASNT published eligibility requirements for attending the examination.
c) Candidates can attend our refresher courses which may help them to prepare for the examination.
d) Candidates shall do the needful for applying and processing the papers and required fee directly
with ASNT.
e) For those candidates appearing for Basic, SNT-TC-1A and CP-189 will be taught additionally.
 f) Since examination is on-line, candidates can attend our refresher course first and take the
examination at their convenience.
g) There is a centre for online examination of ASNT very near to our training school in Andheri,
Mumbai. Also the programme is such that the participant can take ASNT examination just after the
course.

* All the courses will be conducted if sufficient no. of candidates have requested by 31st
December 2018 and registered by 15th January 2019. Please indicate your interest in
enrolling for the course in advance for us to confirm the course.
* ASNT examination centre is nearby our office in Andheri, Mumbai and participant may
have registration for it. Refer Annexure 1 for more detailed information.
* Those who are taking ISNT examination for very first time (Not certified ISNT Level III)
have to take course and examination of BASIC as a mandatory requirement. For methods
atleast one of the specific is also required and the fee for exam and specific is to paid. It is
advisable to select both the specific. Those who does not have ISNT Level II valid
certificate has to apprear for Practical examination for Level II and the fee should be
included for practical examination.

Notes:

1. The course syllabus will cover IS 13805-2004 / SNT-TC-1A 2016 requirement.

2. The Course fee includes course material, lunch, and tea.
3. Our GST No. Is GSTIN 27AAAAI4749P2Z2. In case you would like to draw back GST then pease
indicate your GST No to prepare invoice accordingly.
4. Candidates will have to make their own arrangements for boarding, lodging, travel and other expenses
during their stay at Mumbai.
5. The course fee should be paid to bank account by NEFT or by wire transfer. Candidate making
payment directly shall please send email giving the details of payment. The bank details for
transfer of payment are given below. Incase it is not possible to pay directly to bank, the payment
shall be made by a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of “ISNT Mumbai Chapter” payable at
Mumbai.
6. The participants taking ISNT Examination should include fees for course as per Table 1 and
Fees for examination as per Table 2.
