The maps show changes that took place in

Youngsville in New Zealand over a 25 year period

from 1980 to 2005

The maps illustrate the alterations that happened in Youngsville in New Zealand
between 1980 and 2005. Overall, it can be clearly seen that the city underwent a
significant transformation over the period, changing from a residential area to an
industrial one.

The part of the city to the north of Alanah river was converted into a recreation area
with most trees surrounding the lake being cut in order to give way for a park, parking
and playground for children. In addition, in 2005 a stadium was constructed as well as
a parking replacing the four buildings in the north east of the city. The hospital
remained untouched.

To the south of the river, the city became an industrial region with the removal of all
trees and buildings and the construction of many factories and warehouses.
Skyscrapers were set up along side the railway station which in 2005 was extended
further to the north crossing over the river. A marina was established to the east of the
railway station. The airport and its parking and the school stayed unchanged.
