Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan (1) Able to internalize academic values, norms, and ethics based on conservation principles of
humanity, justice, responsibility, and honesty;
(2) Able to obtain the advanced knowledge about language skills and components, language teaching
theories and approaches, methods of teaching, assessment in ELT, English related cultures and
customs, translation studies, and research in ELT.
(3) Able to solve various problems in ELT as a foreign language by applying theories, approaches, and
principles about designs and models of learning of English language and literature;
(4) Able to jointly and severally plan, apply, manage, evaluate, and improve ELT based on the needs of
the students, teachers, and stakeholders;
(5) Able to conduct advanced research on ELT and report it as a thesis and to disseminate the
research findings for the development of ELT in schools and other educational institutions in a
national and international level.
Capaian Pembelajaran Matakuliah At the end of the course, students are able
(1) to develop a positive attitude toward language and language use;
(2) to obtain knowledge about pragmatics and its relationship to syntax and semantics, and various
concepts on pragmatic theories and principles;
(3) to develop the skill of reviewing studies on various topics within pragmatic fields;
(4) to analyze language use phenomena in a small-scale study on the language used in the pragmatic
field (mini research project);
(5) to relate the study of pragmatics to English language teaching.
Deskripsi Matakuliah This course is designed to provide students with insights, studies, and skills in reviewing various aspects
of pragmatics and their implications for language teaching and learning in a humanistic, fair, honest, and
responsible manner. The course will cover:
