Friday, Feb 16 ~ Monday, Feb 19

STUDENTS: REMEMBER TO CHARGE YOUR CHROMEBOOK EVERY

NIGHT AND HAVE IT WITH YOU AT SCHOOL EVERY DAY!!
All students will be using Chromebooks for EOC
testing. Showing up for class without the
Chromebook is like coming to class without pen,
pencil, paper and textbook.

Junior households – schedule your meeting today with your alphabet assigned
guidance counselor! Call Mrs. Jackson in the Guidance Office or book online.

TCHS Peer-Tutoring Program – The TCHS Peer-Tutoring Program is designed to

provide tutoring opportunities for students who are
experiencing difficulties in the areas of Math, Science, CTAE,
Foreign Language and Social Studies. Peer-Tutoring Sessions
will be conducted Monday-Thursday from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM
in the Career Center in the guidance office. Please contact
your school counselor if you are interested in setting up tutoring sessions or becoming
a peer-tutor. Students requesting services would need to do so a few days in
advance due to scheduling procedures. Students providing tutoring services will earn
community service hours.

Student Deadline Calendar – A calendar has been created for your

convenience. To add this to your Google Calendar app, you will find the
invitation located in your tiftschools email; click on the link for access
Twins & Triplets – see Dr. Hughes for a feature in
the TCHS yearbook! We have counted 18 sets of
multiples @ TCHS!!

Thurs, 2/22 – TCHS Parent Information session, 6:00 – 7:00 – to be held at G.O.
Bailey. This is the first of several general information sessions that will be in
several neighborhood schools. Look for upcoming dates at Charles Spencer
and Matt Wilson. Our goal is to have these parent information sessions close to
where our students and families live and work. Some of the topics covered will
be graduation requirements, options after high school and financial aid. There
will also be door prizes!

The Georgia Student Health Survey 2.0 is an anonymous, statewide survey

instrument that identifies school climate issues that impact student
achievement. TCHS students will be taking this online survey during the month
of February. Each student has received a Passive Parental Permission
Form. Students do not need to return this form if participating in the survey.
However, student who elect to opt out need to return the signed form to his/her
2nd block teacher by the deadline. English and Spanish copies of the survey
are available for review at the TCHS Counseling Office front desk.

Please take a moment to complete the survey using the link

below. It’s that time of year again…time for the Georgia
Parent Survey. The Georgia Parent Survey is modeled after
the student survey and contains 24 questions. Parents may
complete the survey using their personal computer, smartphone or tablet. For parents
that do not have access to the Internet, you are welcome to complete the Georgia
Parent Survey at school. All parents are encouraged to participate in the Georgia
Parent Survey because the data will be used as part of the calculation of the School
Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly
to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia Parent Survey is
also available in Spanish. Parents may select the Spanish version within the survey.
Results from the Georgia Parent Survey will not be available to the public and will not
be posted online. The Georgia Parent Survey link is posted below.
