UMW OIL & GAS

UMW Oil & Gas complements the robust upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. We
provide high quality products and services through our five main activities. Our head office
is in Kuala Lumpur, with operations spanning the Asia Pacific region and Turkmenistan.

Manufacture of Oil Country Tubular Goods & Line Pipes

We offer a premium supply of tubular and Oil Country Tubular Good (OCTG)
related products, pipe and coupling manufacturing and cladding services. We
manufacture a complete range of seamless and welded line pipes according
to various internationally recognised standards. Suitable for both onshore
and offshore pipelines, our pipes are designed to endure the most demanding
conditions vis-à-vis high temperatures and immense pressures.

Oil & Gas Exploration Operations

Our services support upstream activities, focusing on offshore drilling through our
semisubmersible and jack-up rigs. We combine cutting-edge technology and experience
to offer unsurpassed drilling services and equipment. Our operational reach is not just
limited to Malaysia or drilling contracting services; we are also involved in facility and
drilling engineering, well services and consultancy beyond local shores.

Fabrication of Oil & Gas and Other Structures

We provide mainly steel fabrication services, for structures and facilities in
relation to offshore and onshore needs. Catering to both the oil and gas and
non-oil and gas sectors, our world-class quality and workmanship speak volumes
about our prompt and reliable services. We also form partnerships with our
customers to ensure that projects are handled in a timely, professional and
responsible way.

Provision of Oilfield Services

We offer state-of-the-art threading, inspection, repair, coating and workover
services to support the petroleum and petrochemicals industry. Our
stringent production procedures are ISO9001-complaint. Our products are
specifically designed to handle tough environments; they are durable and
well-suited to the harsh conditions of most of the activities within the oil
and gas industry.

Supply of Oilfield Products

Our principal activity is stocking, trading, logistics, marketing and distribution
of oilfield products.
 SYNERGISTIC GENERATION SDN BHD

Synergistic Generation Sdn Bhd became a subsidiary of UMW Oil & Gas Group when
UMW acquired a 60% share capital in Synergistic Generation Sdn Bhd in 2009. Being a
total energy solution provider, we are primarily involved in the design, fabrication and
packaging of customised rotating equipment and their related components for oil and
gas players as well as public and private sector utility companies.

Our packaging solutions entail our offer of engineering expertise together with
the assembly, installation and testing of generators, radiators, skid bases, acoustic
enclosures and control systems, among other components.

Product Offering
Since our inception in 1999, we have been creating products that
are robust, reliable and economically viable for the marketplace.
Our total energy solution offering includes diesel and gas
generator sets, diesel-driven air compressors and Zone 2
hazardous area generator packages. We also offer mobile and
trailer generator packages, small diesel, gas engine power plants
and engine-driven water pumps as well as several other products
that are in demand by oil and gas as well as utility players.
We also have the capability to design equipment that meets our
clientele’s specific requirements and limitations. Our offer of
reliable, high quality, world-class engineered products at very
competitive prices and our solid track record, keep our clientele
coming back to us time and time again.

Service Offering
As part of the Company’s service offering, we offer generator
package rentals, engineering services on generator package
designs as well as engine repair, service and overhauling.
Consultants and clientele can also take advantage of our pre-
sales technical advisory services for rotating equipment design
and selection.
In the way of after sales service, we provide maintenance service
contracts for various ranges of rotating equipment, engine and
alternator makes.
FACILITIES AND CAPABILITIES

Strategically Located Yard

To serve our customers in the most efficient and effective
manner possible, Synergistic Generation has set up a 20,000
square foot fabrication and packaging yard at Kota Kemuning
which is strategically located adjacent to major highways and
15 km from Port Klang, Malaysia’s busiest sea port.

Flexible and Robust Workforce

Our 100-odd multi-skilled workforce is stationed at this
facility to meet the short and long-term needs of our
clientele. Our employees are very adept at multi-tasking
and are flexible in that they are capable of working
long and odd hours to get a job done. They also have
significant exposure to extreme work conditions such
as offshore environments.

By leveraging on our experienced technical staff and
support facilities, we are in a position to offer our

customers’ specific space and weight limitations

• In-house testing facilities with a total capacity of 5 MWe

Top Notch Heavy Equipment

The range of heavy machinery at our fabrication and
packaging facility includes superior welding machines,
A-frames, blasting machines and electrode drying ovens.
We also possess top notch treading machine, cutting
and bending machines and full accessories and employ
a 1 MWe load bank.
