Astro Vani's Views on Wearing Rings/Pendants/Bracelets

The allure of wearing some gem stone/metal/ or any other object to cure some problems has
been used many times by business savvy astrologers and other merchants. While wearing
these objects may give out at least some of the desired affects, even if in some cases the
person is just experiencing a placebo effect, we'd like to ask you to be more scientific in your
approach when going for a ring, pendant, or a bracelet that may have been advised to you by
someone (even our own blog).

So let's de-mystify this magical cure all voodoo that the media and some astrologers are
spreading about these Tantric remedies. Some of it may seem common sense to you, in which
case take this as an affirmation of what you already know.

Before you make the investment into an expensive piece of jewellery, test out the effects on
your own with a cheaper alternative. Usually, the merchants/astrologers will give you the
recommendation based on your ability to spend. Quoting an example from our own
experience, an astrologer once suggested that the "best remedy" would be to buy an INR
300,000 worth rudraksh necklace from them - if we can afford it. Words to note "if we can
afford" - leading us to believe that the astrologer was only interested in making money for
himself and not necessarily in what's the best for the "jaatak" as they say.

For instance, as a sapphire is expensive, start by first wearing an iron ring in your
middle finger on a Saturday by first doing the Shani mantra (om pram preem prom
sah shanischaraaya namaha) and seeing the effects.

Note down any behavioral changes in a notebook and see if they are positive or
negative.

For instance, has your reaction/feelings in certain scenarios changed after wearing the
ring? Do you get headaches or feel more depressed or do you generally feel happier?
Do you notice any black/red moles forming on the finger or on the mount - if yes, the
iron and the blue sapphire rings are not for you.

Do this for at least a week or two.

Also note down any behavioral changes noticed by others around you.

If after this trial period you notice mostly positive effects, you can continue to wear
the iron ring and then later on switch to the blue sapphire if you can afford it.

If the experience has been negative, you probably have enough/balanced Shani/Saturn
energy in you and don't need the ring to increase it even further.

Even if a pandit or anyone else were to tell you to wear a certain ring, you should check out
the reaction for yourself as it is possible that they may make some mistakes in their
calculations or perhaps the nurse/parents noted your time of birth wrong.
Finally, even if you can't afford a ring, remember that the best remedy is to start changing
your way of thinking for the positive and keep things like ego, anger, jealousy...out of your
personality. As we've mentioned on another post (based on Mr. Pawan Sinha's suggestions),
the wearing of objects is down in the list of things that can have an affect in making you
succesful.

We hope we've not offended anyone by writing this and please forgive us if we have. :-) We'd
be happy to add on to this post if you'd like to share your experiences for the benefit of others
(reduce that "Anjaan Rin") ;-).

Benefits of wearing Lehsuniya/Cat's Eye stone

Lehsuniya is worn for Ketu. It gives you intuitive powers and makes your brain stronger. It
gives you inspiration to do something

This stone makes one go towards knowledge and brings one name and fame.

This stone gives raj-yog and respect in some mysterious ways.

Who can wear Lehsuniya?

- people who get all kinds of weird dreams

- people who feel anxious

- people who mostly live in their imagination and can't do much work

If you wear lehsuniya and you have the following symptoms, then stop wearing this stone
immediately:

- you feel afraid,

- you can't sleep at night,

- you keep having bad dreams,

- you keep feeling anxious,

- you start being suspicious of everyone,

- you feel afraid of going into a dark area or being in the dark

- you will be afraid of snakes for no reason

- you will start criticizing others and this habit will cause a blow to your reputation.

To negate the bad effects of Ketu - you can donate lehsuniya or take care of dogs - these are 2
major remedies to rectify a negative Ketu. If you can't do any of these, then meditating on the
Ketu mantra will surely help too. Here's a video you can use to help you learn the correct
pronuniciation and that you can chant along with to keep your focus solely on the mantra:
OM Kem Ketave Namaha (108 times )

Be careful when wearing pukhraj / yellow sapphire

Pukhraj or yellow sapphire is worn to make Jupiter stronger and to get rid of the problems
caused by a weak Jupiter.

If your Jupiter is weak, it makes you less knowledgable and makes you weaker in social and
married life, gives you skin problems and makes your liver weaker.

As always, make sure you have your birth-chart analysed properly before wearing it.

Pukhraj makes one gentle and helps students learn better. It makes one more sincere and it
also makes one's mind calm as it makes the mind stronger.

How to wear Pukhraj?

Place the stone in raw (unboiled) milk on a Wednesday and wear it on a Thursday after
washing it properly. It should be worn within an hour after sunrise in the index finger.

After wearing it, you will notice an increase in knowledge, your weight will get balanced,
your anxiety should also reduce, and your relationships should also improve. If you have an
immature personality, then that will also improve.

Dos and Donts while wearing Panna/Emerald

This is a very beneficial stone, but as always, don't wear it just after knowing its benefits.
There should be a detailed analysis done of each stone in regards to the birth chart before
determining whether one should wear it or not.

Panna or emerald in English, helps make the mind stronger. It makes your memory stronger,
makes you bold, and also makes you a better conversationalist.

People whose Mercury/Buddh is weak, but in a state of giving can wear Panna. You can wear
it to make your mind sharper.

However, if your Buddh is the lord of the 3rd, 6th, 12th or 8th house, then you should not
wear this stone.

You can wear Panna, if Mercury is your mukhya graha/main planet, provided Mercury is not
seated in a negative house and is already too strong, in which case it will cause you problems.

Who shouldn't wear Panna?

- people whose Buddh is negative

- people who lie or are false witnesses

- people who like to make small issues into huge problems

- people who like to scheme against others

- if your stuff keeps getting stolen

- people who have allergies

- people whose brain is already very strong and their memory is also sharp

- people who don't have a problem focusing or concentrating on things

Panna is usually worn in a ring made from gold, which is true of most stones. If it's not
possible to wear it in gold, then silver will also do.

If your Buddh is combust or is extremely weak, then you can also wear it in copper in light of
special circumstances, of which an astrologer can guide you.

What to do before wearing Panna?

Keep the ring in raw (unboiled) milk on a Monday and then leave it in there until Wednesday
morning. Wash it with ganga-jal or some purified water on Wednesday morning, do the
mantra "om bum buddhaye namaha" 1008 times and then wear it in your little finger. This
should either be done within an hour after sunrise or within 50 minutes after sunset - doing so
will prove to be more beneficial for you.

The many benefits of wearing Ruby/Manikya

One should wear Ruby/Manikya to make the Sun stronger. However, if the Sun is in
Markesh, then you should not wear this stone as it will cause you a lot of loss.

If your Sun is positive, then it will be beneficial to you.

Benefits:

- improve problems with skin

- improve self-confidence issues

- to increase your intuition

- make your bones stronger

Who should wear Manikya?

- If the mount of Sun is slightly pressed, or if there are small spots on it, or if your Sun line is
too weak and is broken - this will improve your self-confidence and bring about a glow to
your skin
- if the Sun is in the second or 4th house in your birth chart, then it causes problems in family
life and doesn't let the household increase - this is visible on the palm with a slightly broken
line going towards the Mercury mount and a girdle on this mount may be broken. Such
people should wear manikya as it can improve their family life.

- if you have a lack of Vitamin D, then wearing Ruby in a copper ring will definitely help you
- it will make your eyes, body, and soul stronger.

Considerations:

- drink water more than usual

- never talk bad words to anyone - especially to the elderly.

- if you feel that you are getting more angry after wearing the stone, then wear it in silver.

- if you feel depressive or lazy, then wear manikya in copper

- after a gap of 8 to 10 Sundays, then on a Friday, put the stone in some raw (uncooked) milk
after which wear it again in your rign finger on Sunday at sunrise while doing either
adityahridya strotra paath or while chanting "om ghrini suryaya namaha" 1008 (yes, this is
one thousand and eight times). It can be worn in any hand - make sure it's on the ring finger.

Precaution:

as wearing Ruby makes one confident, it can also turn into over-confidence which causes ego
issues, acidity, and your mouth becoming dry while spit gathering in the sides of your mouth
- if this is happening, then take off this stone immediately as it's turning out to be negative for
you.

If you are wearing Ruby, and you also want to wear moonga (coral stone) and neelam (blue
sapphire) - you should do so only after proper consultaion.

Who should not wear Ruby/Manikya?

If your stomach makes too much acid.

If you have problems with your liver.

If you attack someone's reputation when angry

If your relationships make and break easily

If your reputation keeps getting bad because of your speech

If your Sun is in the 3rd, 8th or 12th house

The answer is yes.

If Rahu is very negative and does not allow you to succeed; then donate a gomed stone to
someone who is an intellectual or to your Guru.

People whose Jupiter or Sun is not good should not accept donations.

In mangal dosh, one should donate moonga/coral.

The pros and cons of wearing Blue Sapphire / Neelam

Many people are confused or even afraid of wearing a blue sapphire.

If your Shani/Saturn effects your mukhya graha in some way, then wearing blue sapphire will
be very beneficial to you.

This stone makes one's mind calmer, sharper, and therefore helps one do things in a proper
manner.

Who can wear blue sapphire?

This stone helps you greatly if you need to do investigative work, your brain is unable to
think or take correct decisions. It makes one more capable of doing things and doing them in
the correct way. If you feel your brain is not sharp enough - you can't read between the lines,
you feel others are dominating you as you aren't able to think straight or understand people
correct, then this helps you develop a vision.

If it doesn't suit you, it creates a lot of pain in your arms and legs, makes you take wrong
decisions and hence, you start fighting all kinds of people and you start misusing your money
- this can cause you to become very poor ultimately due to the bad effect on your decision
making ability.

If Shani is weak in your birth-chart, then the wearing of blue sapphire can be very beneficial
for you as long as Shani is not Markesh, in which case it can cause immense problems.

Wearing blue sapphire during saade-saati is a good idea as it can actually turn this bad period
into a very good period for you.

If Shani is the lord of your 2nd, 9th, or 11th house or is sitting in one of these houses, then it
will make you take good decisions - especially in the stock market which will bring about
riches.

If Shani is the lord of the 2nd and 3rd house and you wear blue sapphire, then this stone can
even make you a very good singer.

Who should not wear blue sapphire?

If your Shani is in your 3rd or 8th house of your birth-chart, then do not wear this stone. If
you are unable to see in your birth-chart, then see if the following applies to you: your vehicle
gets damaged often, you are easily irritated, you work till late in the night and find it hard to
wake up in the morning, your head hurts when walking in the Sun; or if you have problems
with stomach or pain in the lower back, then you should not wear blue sapphire.

Coral/Moonga - what you should know before wearing it

There are many benefits to wearing coral, but it can also be negative if it doesn't suit you.
Learn more here.

If someone's amygdala is not working correctly or if one experiences problems related to

rashness, anger, being suspicious, or being fearful, then the coral stone can be of help in such
cases.

The coral reeves work at calming and purifying the oceans, similary coral stones are also
used to purify the blood in ayurveda.

There are 4 types of corals- white, yellow, black, and red. The red one is the most popular one
in astrology.

The red one can be:

a. Triangular coral - it makes Mars stronger; it will make you calmer, it will increase your
self-confidence, fix blood pressure related problems; improve money and property related
issues; improve relations with your siblings. If the coral does not suit you, then it will cause
problems related to the same issues and relations - it will also make your language bad and
cause problems with constipation and weakening of bones. Apart from relations with your
siblings, it will also cause problems with your aunt (father's sister).

b. Oblong coral - it's not as powerful as the triangular one but still gives some basic benefits
of Mars.

Who can benefit by wearing coral stones:

People who have a deficiency of phosphorus, calcium, or anti-oxidants should wear red coral
stones.

If Mars is your main planet, it's in the 7th, 9th, or 10th house, then wearing the coral stone
will be helpful to you. If you have low self-confidence and you get into tears easily, then too
the coral stone will be helpful to you.

Who shouldn't wear coral stones:

If your Mars is negative - you get angry quickly, you have allergies against dust, sunlight, or
smoke, or if you have taken too many antibiotics, then you shouldn't wear coral.

If your married life is getting disturbed due to a bad Mars, then don't wear this stone; if Mars
is in the 7th or 8th house or if it is effecting the 2nd and 3rd house, then don't wear coral as it
will keep disturbing your married life.
