Unit Objective
In order to promote physical fitness in ways that seemed more enjoyable instead
of like work, many people started clubs and organizations where youth as well as
people of all ages could enjoy fitness and make sure theyre staying healthy.
Some of these places are the YMCA, American Heart Association, Boys and Girls

their mission are described in the TN state physical education standard 3.2.2.

out the fill in the blank form and create a Prezi based on knowledge acquired and
score at least a three out of four on the rubric. (Blooms taxonomy:
comprehension)
2.
Given the selected images, TLW support the decision for selecting each
graphic with a written rationale with a score of three out of four on the rubric.
(Blooms taxonomy: knowledge, comprehension, analysis)
3.
Given a computer, TLW create a Prezi that describes some details about the
institution/foundation (i.e. YMCA, American Heart Association, etc.) with a score
of three out of four on the rubric. (Blooms taxonomy: synthesis)
Student Participation
The goal of this lesson is for students to demonstrate a clear understanding of
each institution we discuss. Students provide visual representations of the
creators of the institutions, and write a short summary of why they chose that
institution.

I am aware that the lesson will be differentiated for students
who did not master the objectives and for those ready for enrichment.
However, modifications are not covered in this course and are not
part of this particular lesson.
