The project involves experimental work on studying cell-biomaterial interactions and
polymeric scaffold. Knowledge of polymeric biomaterials, mammalian cell culture, microscopic characterization techniques, and analytical measurement methods is expected. Knowledge of cavitation dynamics is a plus. A Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Materials Science or a related field is required. Requirements 1. Minimum of 3 first authored publications in peer-reviewed, internationally recognized journals. 2. Proven ability to work independently and in a group. Proven leadership skills are a plus. The candidate will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary group. Willingness and ability to communicate with colleagues from different backgrounds and academic levels are a necessity. The positions are available for immediate start. Qualified applicants should send: i) CV, ii) PDF copies of first author publications, and iii) name and contact information of three references for whom they have worked via email, to Professor Hashemi at nastaran@iastate.edu.
