"I would be vary careful in using Vimshopak and Vaiseeshkamsa because you neeed to do birth time
ratification before using them. Birth time ratification is very easy by using KP. KAS is very good for
predicting the daily transits also. I use KP and KAS for quick analysis of a chart, otherwise it takes many
hours of work by just using Vedic BPHS laws.
Vimsopaka bala tells us about benefic placement of planets in major divisional charts. You should have
atleast 10 points to fair average in the dasa period. Vaiseshikamsa tells us the number of times a planets
gets it's own sign in major varghas. Vaiseshikamsa above 3 for benefics and above 2 for malefics is
considered good. The more the better.
Dwadasa vargeeya, pnachvargeeya and harsha bala has application in yearly tajak chart or sudershan
chakra dasa.
Major Dasa period only tells you what will be the major theme , antardasa/prityantar modify the theme in
either way based upon the relationship with dasa lord and the transit of the dasa lord. The BALA applies
to each of them. If the bala of major dasa lord is strong than the entire theme will be memorable,
otherwise based upon the relationship of lord/sublord, the BALA of sub lord is equally important. Malefic
is meant for natural malefics.
