Theme: Kalamidad ay Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrition Agapan
The Nutrition month 2014 Celebration was well attended by the
campus administrators, faculty members and the studentry. This endeavor
is in view of the Disaster Preparedness to avoid the massive ill-effects of
natural disaster that results to the devastation of our agricultural products
which adversely affects our economy. Most of all, scarcity of food
resources directly links to a poor health condition and nutrition.
The program was solemnly commenced by the Athena Performing
Arts Bureau headed by Mrs. Magnolia Factora through a Doxology which
was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the
very inspiring traditional CSU Hymn.
The Director of Student Services and Welfare, Dr. Editha S.
Pagulayan gave the opening remarks. In between the introduction of the
Speaker, was the intermission number of the Maria Mercedes Dance Group
that gave entertainment to the huge crowd attending. Mr. Jansen
Mappatac, Congressman from CTED introduced the Guest Speaker, Ms.
Amalia A. Calubaquib, a Nutritionist Dietician III. Then a roll call was made
while Ms. Angelica Dayrit gave an intermission number by rendering a
song. The program was followed by the presentation of the project
proposals of the different colleges. The project proposals are aimed at
coming up with nutrition related activities that are sustainable.
Nutri-Jingle and Poster Making Contest was also conducted. The
judges were presented and the winners were as follows:
