Veeam Backup
derek.hennessy, Senior System Engineer at a

This is actually quite a hard choice to make

when dealing with Veeam Backup & Replication.
There are a number of great features such as
WAN acceleration, deduplication &
compression, replication and the grandfatherfather-son backup tree. Not to mention backup
to tape which has been a key reason to migrate
to Veeam. The primary feature of most value to
me is the SureBackup and SureReplica
featureset. Having the ability to verify backups
and replicas of critical servers in a sandboxed
environment means that I can sleep comfortably
at night knowing that the data is valid and I can
confidently restore data and services if required
by the business. Snapshot capabilities within
NetApp would also be high on that list.
Michael Jipping, IT Systems Engineer at a healthcare
company with 1-100 employees:

Continuous Data Backup and Replication

features that allow us to have our entire Virtual
Infrastructure recoverable in minutes.

It is important that a backup product delivers

Ray Todich, System Engineer at a healthcare company

There is no one feature that is most important. I

love the ability to either restore the entire VM or
just a single file if needed. We have had to
restore VMs both ways and it saved us a lot of
pain and money. The speed of the restore jobs
was extremely quick as well.
Christian Baldigari, Systems Administrator at a tech
services company with 1-100 employees:

Two features are unmatched compared to other

products: SureBackup and the possibility of
Replication (and Virtual LAB). These are a
must.
David Azar, IT Manager at a tech services company with
1-100 employees:

I started working with Veeam because of its

replication capabilities. Later on when version 7
was released, with the addition of the tape

Gil Gross, Technical Consultant at a tech services

company with 1-100 employees:

Backup.
Russell Lynch, Systems Specialist at a insurance
company with 1-100 employees:

There are quite a few features for Veeam which

are helpful, but in my mind the ability to take a
backup from a week ago and spin up a
temporary VM to retrieve files is the feature I
use the most. The wizards are extremely user
friendly and easy to use. Another very nice
feature of Veeam is the ability to seamlessly
intergrate with your VM environment. From
within Veeam I can browse all of my VMs and
choose the appropriate vm I want to add to
backup. The low disk warnings are awesome in
Veeam, I am alerted well before we run out of
space.
Paul F., Network Administrator at a K-12 educational
company or school with 1-100 employees:

I have managed Veeam for several years and

the user experience, the minimal complexity of
management have been a breath of fresh air
compared to experiences with similar products. I
have had issues with other products from
implementation to upgrade of versions and basic
restore of data. Veeam has simplified the
upgrade process and made it straightforward. I
have experienced no issues with the installers. I
cant say Im lucky so I have to say the product
has been solid for me. The value of the feature
set is a difficult question.

Paul F., Network Administrator at a K-12 educational

company or school with 1-100 employees:

The instant restore is a great feature knowing

that in the event of an outage our downtime will
be minimal, as well as the Exchange explorer,
the ability to restore files so granular to an entire
VM is exceptional. I would also have to mention
the Veeam One monitoring tool is used daily.
The ability to have Grandfather, Father, and Son
backups is extremely useful when preparing
backup for tape or offsite. The compression and
de-duplication capabilities for space savings
and off-site backups.
Gven Yakan, IT Manger at a energy/utilities company
with 1-100 employees:

The ability to perform de-duplication is the most

valuable feature for me. It also performsSQL
backups so thatI can restore SQL database
table bases. Replication time very good. For
example,I can replicate 4TB data to theDR side
in 5 hours with a10 Mbps data line everyday.
Replica server tests on the DR side are very
easy because I just need to power on the server
on from there.
Toms Cspedes, Information Technology Bureau
Deputy Director at a government with 1000+ employees:

With Veeam Cloud Connect and Azure Storage

you can get your backups offsite. With it, you
don't have the complexity of managing an offsite
infrastructure. It may even help to reduce your
DRC strategy costs.
Didier Van Hoye, Technical Architect at a government

Shaun Herridge, IT Manager at a non-profit with 1001000 employees:

Regular backup/recovery is the main feature,

but I really like the Exchange mailbox recovery
tool, and the ability to isolate test environments.
It is really easy to use as well, and it's a powerful
backup/recovery solution.
ITManager866, IT manager at a wholesaler/distributor with
100-1000 employees:

Recovering single emails from Exchange and

single items from Active Directory.
John Bailey, Network Engineer at a financial services firm
with 100-1000 employees:

Off-site replication was good.

Richard Haverly, Technical Lead at a tech services
company with 1-100 employees:

The functionality available with Veeam

enterprise licenses, allow a VMware vSphere
snapshot to be integrated and transferred to HP
3PAR storage snapshots; this effectively offloads all backup traffic to the storage network.
The Original VMware snapshot is then released
(this process takes less then a minute), and
Veeam continues the backup operation directly
form the 3PAR storage. This operation ensures
minimal impact on the VM, VM network and
Host hypervisor, while ensuring backups are
performed at storage network speeds (8Gb
fibre).

Richard Haverly, Technical Lead at a tech services

company with 1-100 employees:

Reverse incremental backups with block level

changes - Following the initial seed backup, only
block level changes are captured in the following
daily backups. This ensures backup times are
kept to a minimum and reduces the amount of
data that is replicated to additional disk off-site.
50x WAN optimisation - With the enterprise
licence option you get WAN optimisation. this
reduces the amount of bandwidth required to
replicate VMs or backup copies off-site. I use
this to transfer all VM backups to a co-location
storage device at a dedicated DR site. Instant
recovery - this allows a Veeam protected VM to
be instantly booted direct from the backup
image. Veeam creates an NFS Datastore and
presents this to the selected Esxi host. This can
be used to test backups are being taken
correctly, to recover a live VM or as a low cost
DR solution. Once a VM is booted, this can be
migrated live using vMotion back to production
storage.
Kevin Finkley, Senior Infrastructure Engineer at a tech
services company with 1000+ employees:

Its replication piece allows us to migrate over to

different servers and data centers. Veeam lets
me move machines from older platforms. I could
have used the replication tools from VMware,
but not for the older platform. Veeam allows the
upgrade of infrastructure as well. It's easy to use
once you get to know the tool.
ICTConsultant746, ICT Consultant at a government with
100-1000 employees:

Reliability: we need backups we can depend on

Ease of use: when there's an issue and
downtime, there's stress involved, and we
should be able to restore things without reading
40 pages in a manual Reporting: we want to
know what happened during the backup and
what the results are Value for money (of course!)

valuable, it is amazing how fast backups and

derek.hennessy, Senior System Engineer at a
pharma/biotech company with 1000+ employees:

Backup of physical servers. I know that Veeam

have vehemently said they will never go down
that route but it's a feature I need, and badly.
Having the ability to use Veeam within all our
virtual environments is fantastic but it also
means we still have a requirement to use TSM
to back up our physical servers via an agent.
With the Endpoint Protection feature announced
recently I can only hope that this develops into
the backup of all physical devices and allow
management through the Veeam console.

With Networker 8.0I had an issue related

toVMware VADP backups.An Image
levelbackup of a RHEL VMfinished
successfully, but when I tried to restore it the
transferspeed was very low, and the restore
operation took 20 hours to restore17 GB which
represents50% of total VM size. I was then
obliged to abort the restoreoperation because
there was backup jobs planned andNetworker
was deployed with only one tape drive in this
case(the tape drive can't write backups and
performrestoressimultaneously). I contacted
the support team to analyze this
performanceissue. They said that this
happened because it was a Linux machine
backed up with Windows Vcenter Proxy. For me
this is not acceptable... I hope this will be
resolved in the 8.2 version of Networker,
because restore speed is important (RTO)

derek.hennessy, Senior System Engineer at a

pharma/biotech company with 1000+ employees:

Recently I've been discussing the capabilities of

Endpoint Protection with a Veeam Rep. around
the area of enterprise applications. In this
instance I'm focused on SQL and Exchange.
Despite my protestations we are still using
physical exchange servers (and I doubt we're
the only enterprise) so being able to get a good
backup of those servers is critical to allow
replacement of current backup solutions. Right
now Veeam are not confident with Exchange
backups and would recommend one of the
DAGs to be virtual to ensure the backup
consistency. For SQL however they are happy
with their testing and while not being a released
feature it is something that can be backed up via
Endpoint Protection. This area of development
for Veeam is going to be a critical one for them
to truly enter the enterprise backup arena.

Deep Dive: Improvements to My Organization

Veeam Backup
derek.hennessy, Senior System Engineer at a

I used to work for a company that provided

Backup/DR as a service to its clients we had to
look at various backup and recovery tools to
quickly and easily bring back customers data.
Before Veeam introduced the backup to tape
and WAN acceleration features we were using 3
different products across a number of our clients
to provide the required services. After those
feature releases, we just used one tool through a
single console (the infamous single-pane-ofglass) which reduced the complexity and
management overheads within our solutions but
also provided our customers with a far greater
level of service and reliability.

Mourad BELKHODJA, Engineer at a tech services

company with 100-1000 employees:

In a largeenterprise DataCenter there is

traditionallya lot of applications/databases
which are owned by different administrators.
Without acentralized backup solution, each
application/DBowner has to ensure its backup
separately andif a problem occurs, hehas to
executerecovery tasks. In these conditions, the
application rower has to make some extra jobs
:backup scripting, verifying backups have
finished successfully, recovery jobs...This
doesimpact his efficiency and the global
enterprise efficiency. If a centralized backup
solution likeNetworker is deployed, the
backup/recovery taskswill be on the
responsibility of only one resource which is the
backup administrator. This does directly involve
that each application/DB owner can spend more
time on his real job: optimizing the platform that
he owns.

Michael Jipping, IT Systems Engineer at a healthcare

company with 1-100 employees:

Before this product we were using something

else that was entirely unreliable for our
company. Backups need to be counted on. In
Feb of 2014 in Columbus, Ohio there was a
major Power Failure downtown that was the
result of a gas explosion of the corner of our
Data Center. Entire Data Center was offline for
a week. (Catastrophic Event could be classified
as a Disaster). With a proper configuration of
this product we were able to restore the Hyper-V
Infrastructure to our 2nd Data Center and
restore functionality to about 20 Hospitals and

remaining filtered in).

not having to rebuild servers and the many times

I don't know how to translate that into money,
but it's no small thing. b. This one is HUGE: We

EMC NETWORKER REVIEW BY A REAL USER

Bratislav Petkovic Verified by IT Central Station
Senior Associate - System Engineer at a financial services
firm with 100-1000 employees

Valuable Features:
Support for various operating systems, we use, AIX, Solaris, Linux, VMware, and
Windows
Excellent deduplication with Data Domain Boost
A good user interface, so we can, from a single console, manage the entire backup
infrastructure

Improvements to My Organization:
We are using a single product, with the same licenses, to backup Oracle servers,
SQL Servers, Exchange, and our virtual environment. It also allows us to clone the
backups to a disaster recovery site. With the integration with Data Domain Boost
we are significantly saving backup space.

Room for Improvement:

WHAT REAL USERS

ARE SAYING...
"With the integration with
Data Domain Boost, we
are significantly saving
backup space. However,
backups of VMs could be
improved."
"It allows us to share our
knowledge and experience
with it on other sites in our
organization, although it
lacks support for Xen and
RHEV. "
"Backup software solution
which supports majority of
IT platforms (Windows,
UNIX, Oracle, SQL, Lotus,
VMware etc.)"

I think, first of all, the part that relates to backup virtual machines. I've seen better
and faster solutions, for example: Veeam.

Use of Solution:
We've used NetWorker for about ten years. We are primarily using NetWorker to
backup our core servers with Solaris. For the last three years, we use Networker to
backup the entire infrastructure.

We're also using the NetWorker Module for Microsoft v8.2.1.8, and the NetWorker
VMware Protection v1.1.1.50.

Deployment Issues:
No issues encountered.

Stability Issues:
We had no problems with stability.

Scalability Issues:
We had no problems with scalability. We have two data centers with different
infrastructure.

Customer Service:
I have worked with local EMC partners, I have had a positive experience.

Technical Support:
I did not use technical support for NetWorker, but I have used it for some other
EMC products and I think they were a little slow. 7/10.

Initial Setup:
Initial setup was straightforward. The documentation is good.

Implementation Team:
We did it in-house.

Cost and Licensing Advice:

We use NetWorker Capacity Licensing Model. Estimating the backup
environment's capacity is, for me, very complex, and I think not even clear.

Other Advice:
It is a good product with some problems backing up virtual machines (slow restore).

Use of Solution:
Ive worked on it for over 10 years, since v6.

Deployment Issues:
No issues encountered.

Stability Issues:
Just in version 7.x.x, where they changed all graphical interface and had some
stability issues.

Scalability Issues:
When I used to work in a consultant office, we had to split one backup server into
three to support the amount of clients. This customer had a lot of backup server
instability.

EMC NETWORKER REVIEW BY A REAL USER

Mourad BELKHODJA Verified by IT Central Station
Engineer at a tech services company with 100-1000
employees

Valuable Features:
Backup jobs can be scheduled andautomated
Monitoring of backupsand configuration tasksare centralized
Compatibility of the solution covers large OS/DataBases/Applications

Improvements to My Organization:
In a largeenterprise DataCenter there is traditionallya lot of applications/databases
which are owned by different administrators.
Without acentralized backup solution, each application/DBowner has to ensure its
backup separately andif a problem occurs, hehas to executerecovery tasks. In
these conditions, the application rower has to make some extra jobs :backup
scripting, verifying backups have finished successfully, recovery jobs...This
doesimpact his efficiency and the global enterprise efficiency.
If a centralized backup solution likeNetworker is deployed, the backup/recovery
taskswill be on the responsibility of only one resource which is the backup
administrator. This does directly involve that each application/DB owner can spend
more time on his real job: optimizing the platform that he owns.

Room for Improvement:

With Networker 8.0I had an issue related toVMware VADP backups.
An Image levelbackup of a RHEL VMfinished successfully, but when I tried to
restore it the transferspeed was very low, and the restore operation took 20 hours
to restore17 GB which represents50% of total VM size. I was then obliged to abort
the restoreoperation because there was backup jobs planned andNetworker was
deployed with only one tape drive in this case(the tape drive can't write backups
and performrestoressimultaneously).
I contacted the support team to analyze this performanceissue. They said that this
happened because it was a Linux machine backed up with Windows Vcenter
Proxy. For me this is not acceptable... I hope this will be resolved in the 8.2 version
of Networker, because restore speed is important (RTO)

Use of Solution:

Deployment Issues:
Deployment tasks are not really hard. Networker is well documented.

Technical Support:
7/10

Initial Setup:
Initial setup was complex because I had to integrate ExchangeServer and I had no
knowledge on how it works.
I asked to the Exchange administrator to assist me on the deploymentand together
we setup up the Exchange backup job.

Other Solutions Considered:

IBMTSM;HP data protector;Symantec Netbackup/Backupexec aremain
competitor to Networker.
I remember a customer asked meto advise him between deployingNetworker or
TSM. The customer wanted to integrate a Data Domain device to his backup
solution. I advised him to use Networker because TSM is not compatible with
DDBoost protocol which improves DataDomain performance: Deploying TSM in
this case was a limitation!

VEEAM BACKUP REVIEW BY A REAL USER

derek.hennessy Verified by IT Central Station
Senior System Engineer at a pharma/biotech company
with 1000+ employees

Valuable Features:
This is actually quite a hard choice to make when dealing with Veeam Backup &
Replication. There are a number of great features such as WAN acceleration,
deduplication & compression, replication and the grandfather-father-son backup
tree. Not to mention backup to tape which has been a key reason to migrate to
Veeam. The primary feature of most value to me is the SureBackup and
SureReplica featureset. Having the ability to verify backups and replicas of critical
servers in a sandboxed environment means that I can sleep comfortably at night
knowing that the data is valid and I can confidently restore data and services if
required by the business. Snapshot capabilities within NetApp would also be high
on that list.

Improvements to My Organization:
I used to work for a company that provided Backup/DR as a service to its clients we
had to look at various backup and recovery tools to quickly and easily bring back
customers data. Before Veeam introduced the backup to tape and WAN
acceleration features we were using 3 different products across a number of our
clients to provide the required services. After those feature releases, we just used
one tool through a single console (the infamous single-pane-of-glass) which
reduced the complexity and management overheads within our solutions but also
provided our customers with a far greater level of service and reliability.

Room for Improvement:

Backup of physical servers. I know that Veeam have vehemently said they will
never go down that route but it's a feature I need, and badly. Having the ability to
use Veeam within all our virtual environments is fantastic but it also means we still
have a requirement to use TSM to back up our physical servers via an agent. With
the Endpoint Protection feature announced recently I can only hope that this
develops into the backup of all physical devices and allow management through the
Veeam console.
Recently I've been discussing the capabilities of Endpoint Protection with a Veeam
Rep. around the area of enterprise applications. In this instance I'm focused on
SQL and Exchange. Despite my protestations we are still using physical exchange
servers (and I doubt we're the only enterprise) so being able to get a good backup
of those servers is critical to allow replacement of current backup solutions. Right
now Veeam are not confident with Exchange backups and would recommend one
of the DAGs to be virtual to ensure the backup consistency. For SQL however they
are happy with their testing and while not being a released feature it is something
that can be backed up via Endpoint Protection. This area of development for
Veeam is going to be a critical one for them to truly enter the enterprise backup
arena.

Use of Solution:
Approximately 3 years. This has been at both the end user side and also as a
service-provider to a number of our customers. I've used Veeam only within
VMware environments so I can't comment on it's performance within Hyper-V.

Deployment Issues:
Deployment of Veeam is incredibly easy. I've installed Veeam a number of times
and never came across issues with the installation. If anything I've had issues with
the design of the backup solution rather than the product itself but as with all
solutions they need to be designed correctly to get the best out of the products
featureset.

Stability Issues:
99% of the time there are no issues with Veeam. It does exactly what it says on the
tin and it really is just as easy as they make it look in their demos and videos. On a
few occasions I had issues with VSS failing on a server which came down to being
an operating system issue. Another time there was a problem where the backup
was not truncating exchange logs. Veeam Support provided a patch within 24
hours which immediately fixed the issue permanently.

Scalability Issues:
In early versions of Veeam, before version 6.5, there were issues but since Veeam
has utilised backup Proxy servers there's no issue with scalability. You can
leverage servers in your environment that have low workloads to be Veeam proxies
as well so you get more value from your environment.

Customer Service:
Veeam customer service is top notch. Previously I have worked closely with them to
request licensing and further information on their products and they have always
answered quickly and politely or returned my call quickly. If it was on a scale of 1-5
I'd give it 5.

Technical Support:
Technical support is exceptional at Veeam. Any issue I have opened with them has
been dealt with quickly and within an hour I've had a support technician contact me.
On a handful of occasions where I've had severity 1 calls open with support they
have passed off support to their colleagues in Europe and later America to work on
the issue with me further out of hours with a smooth handover. Normally with
support teams this happens but you have repeat everything all over again but I've
not had such an experience with Veeam.

Previous Solutions:
Yes. I used to use products such as Symantec Backup Exec and Falconstor but
switched to Veeam as it's designed for virtual environments, it's easy to use and
lowers the management overhead, it scales easily and provides a stable backup
environment. Right now I'm considering using Veeam to replace NetApp
SnapProtect within our environment.

Initial Setup:
The initial setup is really straightforward. It really is a next, next, next install and can
be done by anyone. Some of the feature selection during the installation should be
thought about in advance but it's possible to easily enable these later if you don't
enable the up-front. Once the installation is complete you then need to add servers
as proxies and point Veeam at a backup repository, add vCenter and create the
backup pools and that's it. Ready, set, go!

Implementation Team:
I've only ever done in-house implementations of Veeam. I have had discussions on
occasions with Veeams technical team before installation of some more complex
environments and they have always been insightful and knowledgeable and
understood the capabilities of their products at an in-depth level. But normally the
implementation was straightforward and didn't require any assistance.

ROI:
We were able to recover our investment on Veeam within about 8 months. This was
due largely to reduced licensing costs initially but the majority of the savings came
from a reduction in the management overheads and the previous baby-sitting we
had to do of our backup solution.

Cost and Licensing Advice:

The original setup costs were in the region of $45k for a 24 host VMware
environment. That was for the full Veeam Availability Suite which Backup and
Replication is a part of. The day-to-day (Opex) costs we reduced from one staff
member spending 5 hours massaging backups and replications to less that 1 hour
a day.

Other Solutions Considered:

Before using Veeam I reviewed a number of backup solutions. These included
Symantec Backup Exec, NetBackup, Falconstor, Acronis, Commvault and
ArcServe.

Other Advice:
I would recommend getting your hands on trial version or even just use the free
editions from Veeam to become comfortable with the console and see for yourself
just how easy it is to manage backups. If you use the free edition you'll quickly want
to use a full version so you can schedule backups and take advantage of some of
enterprise features. Run a POC on some VMs and verify it's the right tool for you
and see that the reviews don't lie.

I would also recommend reaching out to a Veeam Gold or Platinum Partner if you
have a more complex environment and get your design put up on a whiteboard.
While getting Veeam into your environment is the end goal a real focus needs to be
placed on data migration and integrity. Your previous backup data needs to be
accessible and recoverable and this is where the partners should be able to help.
This isn't a recommendation just for implementing Veeam but for all backup
solution migration. With Veeam however I'm sure it'll be as easy as everything else.

VEEAM BACKUP REVIEW BY A REAL USER

Michael Jipping Verified by IT Central Station
IT Systems Engineer at a healthcare company with 1-100
employees

Valuable Features:
Continuous Data Backup and Replication features that allow us to have our entire
Virtual Infrastructure recoverable in minutes.

Improvements to My Organization:
Before this product we were using something else that was entirely unreliable for
our company. Backups need to be counted on. In Feb of 2014 in Columbus, Ohio
there was a major Power Failure downtown that was the result of a gas explosion of
the corner of our Data Center. Entire Data Center was offline for a week.
(Catastrophic Event could be classified as a Disaster). With a proper configuration
of this product we were able to restore the Hyper-V Infrastructure to our 2nd Data
Center and restore functionality to about 20 Hospitals and Imaging centers around
the state of Ohio. (Tier1 systems were restored with in 30 minutes and remaining
filtered in).

Room for Improvement:

Being able to Backup from Cloud Services like Azure
Better Logging to assist you in determining root causes of failures
Better Traffic Throttle Monitoring

Use of Solution:
18 months.

Deployment Issues:
Yes but easily resolved with the support from our Sales/Tech team provided by
VEEAM.

Stability Issues:
None.

Customer Service:
Very Good.

Technical Support:
Very Good.

Previous Solutions:
Unreliable /success-failure rates.

Initial Setup:
Very Straightforward.

Implementation Team:
In-house.

ROI:
Hard to say but I would say the company wouldn't be around based on the event
described above.

Cost and Licensing Advice:

Initial Software costs includes 3 yrs of support = $65000 for 20 HyperV Servers.

Other Solutions Considered:

We looked at AppAssure (DELL) andCommVault.

Other Advice:
Do your research but by far this is one of the best products out there. Agentless is a
very good thing to leverage in a Backup Software.

VEEAM BACKUP REVIEW BY A REAL USER

Sigurd Blom Rossel Verified by IT Central Station
CEO at a tech consulting company with 1-100 employees

Valuable Features:
The backup and blocklevel incremental backup, where daily full backups are done.
Also the hotcopy feature is valuable.

Improvements to My Organization:
It's been an overall improvement many places at our client sites where almost
everyone runs vm's or Hyper-V.

Room for Improvement:

Nothing in particular, Veeam launches like a rocket and delves into the featurelist of
VMware, for example, and tie their development close together with the devs
coming from VMware or Microsoft.

Use of Solution:
Since early 2008 when Veeam entered the scene.

Deployment Issues:
Never had any issues that couldnt be dealt with from an admin pov.

Stability Issues:
Its running rock steady, so there isnt any issues in my/our end.

Scalability Issues:
It scales 100% its just a matter of licenses pr cpu, so as long as your compliant it
runs like it should.

Customer Service:
Rating in level from 1-10 where 10 is the best i would rate it 10.

Technical Support:
Rating in level from 1-10 where 10 is the best i would rate it 10.

Previous Solutions:
Yes used many different solutions, but no one were as great as Veeam when
talking virtual backups.

Initial Setup:
Yes more or less, its been improved over the years and now version 8 is ready and
even more potent.

Implementation Team:
We are an IT consultancy business doing implemetations ourself, so 100% done by
us at N2IT.

ROI:
ROI is compared to forexample running CommVault returned many times, this is
due to the flexibility ion licensemodels etc. And also in terms of space utilization.
Veeam does full daily backups with whats called synthetic backup streams of some
sort, it takes all block changes and stream those into the latest backup and there
create a full backup as well as restore pointers.

Cost and Licensing Advice:

Setup cost is a variable, but take the number of cpus and multiply that with the
licensecost as well as a target for backup storage and you have the price.

Other Solutions Considered:

Yes evaluated vRanger and PHP backup and also Symantec. No one met the
requirements.
We decided onVeeam becausewe were much more integrated into VMware core
and you didn't have to script yourself out of alot of tideous tasks to get things
working.
Veeam worked out of the box and was a tight close match to what we
knewWindows-wise.

Other Advice:
Nothing beats Veeam when it comes to Backup in a virtual environment. Just go for
it, Veeam wont let you down.
