"vish kaniya yoga"

The myth states that girls were made immune to snake poison by exposing them to
low intensity snake bites at a very young age. Many girls used to die but the ones
who had developed the immunity to venom would survive. The blood and other
body fluids of these girls would apparently be "poisoned" and sexual contact with
them would kill the person.
If we try to find a rational explanation for this, one possibility is that these girls after
having developed the immunity to snake-venom could have poisonous snakes as
pets (as their bite would not harm them). These girls could then smuggle in
poisonous snakes with them and use them to kill off someone.
Chanakya is known to have "diverted" a Vish-kanya originally sent to Chandragupta
Maurya by Nanda's minister Rakshasas to king Parvatak who was plotting against
Maurya. The vish-kanya poisoned and murdered Parvatak and Maurya was saved.
My feeling is that vish-kanyas were skilled snake charmers and were able to handle
and use poisonous snakes.
Visha Kanya (literally, poison maiden) comes from a reprehensible practice of
yesteryear in which kings located girls whose horoscopes promised widowhood.
These girls were sequestered at an early age and fed many types of poisons in
gradually increasing doses to make them immune to their deleterious effects. By
the time they reached puberty, these girls were thoroughly toxic and ready for use.
The king who had directed the process was then ready to present one of these Visha
Kanyas to anyone whom he wanted to kill, for any man who embraced such a lady
would die after a very short time. One legend holds that Aristotle warned Alexander
the Great about the dangers of such venomous virgins; another suggests that
Alexander died as a result of the embrace of a Visha Kanya who was awarded to him
as tribute by the defeated King Porus. Chankya started Poison girls to get rid victory
on enemies.Girls were given small amount of Sankhiya (a poison).these girls were
sent to enemy kings ,when they come in sexual contacts get died. These girls were
trained in all arts like dancing etc.vish-kanya in the mauryan era(chandragupta
maurya and chanakya's time,Chanakya advocates the use of vishkanya to protect
the interests of
the country, and one should understand the circumstances in which he
said it. Nobody can quote Chanakya and resort to such methods for his
own personal ends.
Obviously no one would want to marry a poison damsel, for she would be widowed
almost as soon as her husband first caressed her. Even after the process of
toxifying such girls had died away, the fear of marrying women with what are
repute to be Visha Kanya combinations in their charts remained alive. As with Kuja
Dosha, part of the effect that the legend of a Visha Kanya produces is likely due to
cultural and psychological factors, with fear of the deleterious influence of such

astrological Visha Kanyas tending to produce a

self-fulfilling prophecy of marital doom. Unfortunately, in some quarters, this Visha
Kanya designation is still used indiscriminately to brand certain women as unfit for
marriage. One still occasionally reads in books from India that women having Visha
Kanya combinations should be avoided as marriage partners. Some claim that
males who are born during these combinations will destroy their families and their
clan, and that females will destroy their husbands.
On a Saturday, Sunday, or Tuesday which is a Dvitiya (the second tithi or day of
the lunar fortnight), when the Moon occupies Ashlesha, Shatabhisha, or Krittika
nakshatras;
On a Sunday which is a dvadashi (twelfth tithi), when the Moon occupies
Shatabhisha;
On a Tuesday which is a Saptami (seventh tithi), when the Moon occupies
Vishakha;
When the Moon in Bharani falls on a Sunday, Moon in Chitra on a Monday, in Mula
on a Tuesday, in Dhanishtha on a Wednesday, in Jyeshtha on a Thursday, in Purva
Ashadha on a Friday, or in Revati on a Saturday;
When Saturn occupies the Ascendant, the Sun is in the fifth bhava and Mars
tenants the ninth bhava.
Maharshi Parashara, who obviously preferred more stringent conditions for this
combination, defines Visha Kanya any birth that occurs:
On a Sunday which is a dvitiya (the second tithi, or day of the lunar fortnight),
when the Moon occupies Ashlesha;
On a Saturday which is a Saptami (seventh tithi), when the Moon occupies Krittika.
On a Tuesday which is a dvadashi (twelfth tithi), when the Moon occupies
Shatabhisha.
Although true Visha Kanya combinations are quite rare, one modern interpolation
that readers may wish to rest is our observation that the few people who do have
them are often prone to addiction, allergy, or some other variety of hypersensitivity.
Visha Kanya combinations can, for both males and females, foster heightened
susceptibility to alcohol, drugs or tobacco, lactose intolerance, environmental and
emotional sensitivities, food abuse, and other such over-reactive states.
Position of moon in horoscope is a key. It's position can make a big difference in
predicition. Eeven at the time of match making, the analysis is based on the
position of moon. In our classics some yoga has been mentioned which are highly
misfortunate. These are called "Vish Kanya Yoga". The word "vish" is called poison
and "Kanya" means girl. Even the male born under such combinations has the same
effect.
The nakshatras Ashlesha, Vishakha, Jyeshta, and Moola. are trouble causing.
a)One born under Ashlesha first quarter brings death to one's mother-in-law.
b)Those born under Vishakha last quarter could cause death to married partner's

younger brother.
c)If born under Jyeshta first quarter, there is danger to partner's elder brother.
d)Those born under Moola first quarter may indicate early death of father-in-law.
The above effects are too general. One parameter can not result in formation of
yoga. There must be some supportive combination
VISH-KANYA YOGAS
1)The birth on the 12th Tithi, Shatabhisha nakshatra and on a Sunday.
2)Birth on Tuesday when the Tithi is 7th and the nakshatra happens to be Vishakha.
3)The 2nd Tithi on a Saturday when the Moon is in Ashlesha.
4)Birth on Sunday when the Moon is in Bharani nakshatra.
5)Birth on Monday with the Moon in Chitra.
6)On Tuesday, Moola nakshatra.
7)Combination of Wednesday and Dhanishta.
8)Combination of Thursday and Jyeshta.
9)Combination Friday and Purvashada.
10)Combination Saturday and Revati.
The above combination needs micro analysis. But in modern times it is often seen
that the boy and girls matches their charts own with the help of computer on guna
basis only which is very risky
