Intended Usage
The Kitchen Radio is intended for use either freestanding or for assembly beneath a wall cabinet.
The intended uses for the Kitchen Radio are the
reception of FM radio transmissions and as an
alarm/timer, using signal tones or the radio itself.
This Kitchen Radio is not intended for utilisation in
commercial or industrial applications.
No warranty claims will be granted for damage
resulting from improper use!

Risk of fire!
Injury hazard!
Keep children away from the power cable and
the appliance. Children frequently underestimate
the dangers of electrical appliances.
Provide for a safe location for the appliance.
Do not operate the appliance if it has fallen or is
damaged. Have the appliance checked and
repaired if necessary by qualified technicians.
Keep batteries away from children. Children can
put batteries into their mouths and swallow them.
If a battery is swallowed medical assistance must
be sought IMMEDIATELY.
Note:
Some aggressive furniture finishes can have a
destructive influence on the device's rubber feet.
If necessary, place the device on a nonslip pad.
Thunderstorms!
Equipment connected to a power supply can
be damaged during a thunderstorm.
You should therefore always remove the plug
from the power socket when there is a storm.

Risk of explosion!
Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge
the batteries.
Never open batteries, never solder or
weld batteries.
The risk of explosions and injuries exists!
Regularly check the condition of the batteries.
Leaking batteries can cause damage to the
appliance.
If you do not intend to use the appliance for an
extended period, remove the batteries.
In the event of the batteries leaking acids,
wear protective gloves.
Clean the battery compartment and the battery
contacts with a dry cloth.

Note:
Secure the wire antenna with a piece of adhesive
tape such that it does not hang down.
Disassembly
To disassemble the kitchen radio, press the two
retaining levers at the rear of the appliance
downwards. Then pull the kitchen radio forewards
to remove it.
Unscrew the screws and dismantle the mounting
plate.
Note:
Replace the mounting plate onto the radio as
described in the following section.

Take note:
The back-up batteries must be checked at least
once per year and, if necessary, exchanged for
new ones.

Kitchen timer
1. Press the button TIMER o.
2. Press the buttons UP/DOWN s to set the desired
time (a time span between 1 minute and
23:59 h is possible).
3. Press the button TIMER o once more to start the
kitchen timer. A clock symbol running in an
anti-clockwise direction appears on the display.
From 30 seconds before expiry of the time span an
acoustic signal sounds every 5 seconds, repeating
at shorter intervals the closer the set time approaches.
When the time has elapsed, the signal sounds continuously and with an increasing sound volume.
Press the button TIMER o to switch off the acoustic
signal.

Note:
Only the next 10 stations will be saved to the
memory button that was last pressed. To save
the next 10 stations, select another memory
button and then continue the AMS function
from the last saved frequency.
Programming stations
With the buttons 1-6 r you can save 60 radio stations.
1. Press the button POWER t.
Lock function
You can lock the kitchen radio so that settings cannot
be altered by unauthorised people or children.
Press and hold the button MEMORY SETTING u.
A key symbol appears on the display.
To disable the lock function, press and hold the
button MEMORY SETTING u until the key symbol
extinguishes.

Warning!
Battery disposal!
Batteries may not be disposed of with normal
domestic waste. All consumers are statutorily obliged to dispose of batteries at the collection point in
their community/district or with the original supplier.
The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that
batteries can be disposed of in an environmentally
friendly manner. Only dispose of batteries when
they are fully discharged.
