technology, the CarbonX ActiveTM
Base-layer is the ideal solution for active
wearers who want to keep comfortable
even in potentially dangerous conditions.
It is made from our TK-60 fabric, a
lighter-weight, double jersey interlock
Knit comprised of a proprietary blend
of high-performance fibres, including
a hydrophilic fibre designed to absorb
and wick away moisture.
Inherently flame resistant, our Active
Base-layer delivers :Permanent Protection
Because our Active Base-layer is
inherently flame resistant, its
thermal protective properties will
not wash out or wear away. Our
Active Base-layer can be worn daily
as part of a total personal protective
equipment (PPE) solutions, providing
significant value to users.
Unmatched Protection
Our Active Base-layer will not burn, melt,
or ignite, and it significantly outperforms
other FR options when subjected to direct
flame, extreme heat, molten metal, hot/
flammable liquids, or arc flash. Even after
intense exposure, our Base-layer maintains
its strength and integrity, not breaking open
and continuing to protect from heat and
flame. It is unmatched in ATPV values and
also limits heat transfer much more effectively
than other FR apparel of a similar weight.
Comfortable Protection
Our Active Base-layer is lightweight,
flexible, soft-to-the-touch and odour
resistant. It also breathes well and wicks
away moisture, and dries quickly,
enhancing the wearers comfort and
productivity. It is the best choice for

industry standards, our goal is to exceed those standards and
go above the norm in providing a persistent thermal barrier
with minimal heat conductivity. CarbonX fabrics and apparel
offer protection far beyond the industrys No Melt, No Drip
requirements, which typically only require that protective
fabrics will not contribute to burns in a thermal exposure
(as opposed to actually protecting the wearer from a
thermal hazard).
