EUCO 495-H.P.
LOOP DETECTOR SEALANT
Euco 495-H.P is a low temperature curing epoxy
sealant used to encapsulate and seal traffic vehicle loop detectors embedded in asphalt concrete
or portland cement concrete. It is a 100% solids
system that makes a permanent, maintenance
free installation. It rapidly cures to a tough, resilient material having excellent characteristics suitable for roadway work.
After the wires have been placed in the previously
sawed joints, 495-H.P is poured into the cavity
and allowed to self level. The initial set occurs
very quickly (see Curing below) at which time
the roadway may be opened to traffic. 495-H.P.
develops essentially full cure in 24 hours.

CAUTION
It is important to completely empty each can of
mixed material within the alloted pot life time. If
this is not done, the mixture will react in the can
and not be suitable for use.
PACKING/YIELD
Euco 495-HP is packed in 1 gallon (3.8 liters)
kit. Which is sufficient to fill 40 m long, 0.6 cm x
1.5 cm slot
WARNING
Uncured resins and hardeners may produce irritation following frequent and prolonged contact with
the skin. Avoid breathing vapors and avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Hands or other
areas coming in contact with resins should be
washed thoroughly with soap and water. 495-H.P.
becomes very hot as it begins to set and care
should be taken to avoid burns.
ENGINEERING SPECIFICATIONS
All traffic vehicle loop detectors will be sealed with
495-H.P. as manufactured by Construction Material Chemical Industries. This sealant will be used
in strict accordance with the directions of the
manufacturer regarding the preparation of the loop
and lead slots, the mixing application and curing
of 495-H.P. and the subsequent reopening of the
road to traffic.
Detailed specifications are available upon request.
