Inearly2006,itwasannouncedTheWBandUPNwouldmergetoformTheCW.Atthesametime,News Corporation(ownerofFox)madepublicanothernewnetworkcalledMyNetworkTVwouldbelaunchingas well.UPNaffiliateWRBJwasannouncedasthenewstationforTheCWwhileWUFXwouldjoin MyNetworkTV.InadvanceoftheswitchtoMyNetworkTV,WUFXandWDBDswappedaffiliations.On July3,2006,thestationtemporarilypickedupTheWBbutbeganidentifyingitselfonairas"My35"in anticipationofjoiningthenewnetwork.AfterjoiningMyNetworkTV,itcontinuedcarryingWB programminginasecondarynatureuntilthatnetworkshutdownSeptember17.Meanwhile,WDBDrejoined Foxandbecameknownonairas"Fox40".WUFXandWDBDweresoldbyJacksonTelevisionto RoundtableBroadcastinginearly2010.However,thelatter'slicenseelistingwiththeFCCstillsaysJackson Television. WUFXwasgrantedanoriginalconstructionpermitaftertheFederalCommunicationsCommission(FCC) finalizedthedigitaltelevisionallotmentplanonApril21,1997.Asaresult,thestationdidnotreceivea companionchannelforadigitaltelevisionstation.InsteadonMay4,2009,WUFXturnedoffitsanalog signalonchannel35forgoodandturnedonitsdigitalsignalonchannel41atthesametimeWDBDmade theswitch. VicksburgBroadcastingfiledtosellWUFXandWBMSCAtoAmericanSpiritMediainJuly2012.As AmericanSpiritalsoacquiredWDBDandWXMSLPfromRoundtableBroadcasting,theWUFXlicense wasthensoldfor$1toTougalooCollege,thoughAmericanSpiritoperatesthestationunderajointsales agreement.RaycomMedia,ownerofWLBT,willinturnoperatetheAmericanSpiritstationsunderashared servicesagreement.[1]TougaloointendstouseWUFXtoteachitsstudentsabouttheoperationoftelevision stations.[2]OnNovember13,thetransactiontowasconsummated.[3]OnApril15,2013,thecallletterswere changedtoWLOO.[4]

InApril2010,WDBDbeganproducingaweeknighthalfhournewscastonWUFX.KnownasFox40News at10onMy35,theprogramwaspresentedinhighdefinitionandcompetedagainstlongstandingnews broadcastsseenonthemarket'sbigthreestations.AfterAmericanSpiritMediacompleteditsacquisitionof WDBDandenteredintothesharedservicesagreementwithWLBT,theFoxstation'snewsdepartmentwas shutdown.ProductionofWDBD'snewscastswasassumedbyWLBTonNovember12,2012withallofthe newsprogrammingretainedexceptforthe10p.m.showonWUFXsinceitwouldcompetewithWLBT.
