Installation and Configuration of Oracle Cluster Ware. Adding Node and Removing Node from the cluster. Experience in maintaining the Cluster databases using SRVCTL. OCR and VOTING DISK backup and recovery. Experience in Up gradation from 9i to 10g and 10g to 11g.

Responsibilities: Involved in oracle 9i/10g/11g DBA activities for supporting development and production environment. Performing daily health checks of RAC instances and databases. Monitoring the database instances using SRVCTL. Taking OCR and Voting Disk backups manually if required. Maintaining the load balance on both server side and client side. Performing Cold backup and Hot backup as per strategies. Performing Backup through RMAN Backups including implementation of RMAN. Monitoring the database for CPU utilization and killing unwanted user processes. Export and Import of tables, schemas and Full db as per development team requirement. Created new databases and users: setup backups, export and other monitoring scripts using RMAN and for recovery strategy. Maintain user access, space management and database security. Checking of Alert log and Trace files to monitor the database on a daily basis. Created and maintained database entities included tablespaces, data files, redo log files, rollback segments and renaming/relocating of data files on servers. Monitoring and maintaining of CRON jobs. Design, develop and implement automated backup and restoration procedures. Applying CPU patches every quarter in oracle database. Cloning/Refresh from PRODUCTION instance to TEST instances using both Hot and Cold Backup.
