Donated desserts may be homemade or store bought. BROWNIE POINTS (monthly) NEW! Parents, students, and colleagues can now recognize the extra efforts of teachers and staff with a Brownie Point! The honoree will receive a brownie treat and his or her accomplishment will be recognized publicly. To request a Brownie Point recognition simply email the staff members name and a brief description of how this person has earned a Brownie Point to jmsbrowniepoints@gmail.com or drop a note in the PTSA mailbox on campus. Include your
    name and we will make sure the recipient knows who ordered the special recognition.

    Letter from the President


    We are off to a great start. The Membership Dance was a big hit. The kids enjoyed it and so did I. I tried to do the Dougie, but according to my kids I did the Octopus" (laughing) but I told them I tried and that is all that mattered. Busta Brown and DJ Lexx Go rocked the crowd. A special thank you to Krispy Kreme for donating 15 dozen doughnuts, SpareTime for donating gift cards and more importantly our JMS Families/Parents who chaperoned and sent in refreshments. This dance could not have been a success without all of your continued support. Remember this year we still need ALL HANDS ON DECK If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact me at jmsptsa@gmail.com. Thank you for all of your support.     MAY TEACHER APPRECIATION (annually) In honor of Teacher Appreciation Day, Week, and Month in May, the Teacher Appreciation Committee will ramp it into high gear to celebrate JMS teachers and staff in many special ways.

    Thanks to all who have already joined the PTSA. Memberships will be accepted all year. So far we have 419 members. Membership and Sheetz cards have been ordered and will be distributed once we received.

    VOLUNTEER SIGN IN/OUT We are trying a new method to sign in and out! There is a netbook in the front office for signing in/out of student interns, student teachers, and volunteers. When you come on campus to volunteer, please double click on the icon for volunteers. A spreadsheet will open and you will type your name, the date, your time in, your time out, and your activity. Please include am or pm with your in and out time. If you have any off campus hours, you may e-mail Ms. Sherrie Carson (carsonss@gcsnc.com) your total at the end of each month or put them online. Thank you.

    TABLET ACCESORIES If you would like to donate items for tablet use in the classroom, please consider donating earbuds or headphones, stylus, and microfiber cleaning cloths! These can be left with the front office.

    Box Tops collection is off to a great start. We are more than half way to our goal of $1000. We are currently at $711.60. Awesome participation and we know students certainly enjoyed their homework passes. Jean Day will be awarded on November 26th, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break. This will be extended to the entire school due to the results of Box Tops collected from Everyone, Look for some additional upcoming Box Top incentives. A couple of reminders when submitting Box Tops. The Expiration Date must be visible on all Box Tops including the Specialty Box Tops. The Box Top must not be expired. Keep on Clipping!!!.
