Essential Functions
Attends various district meetings for the purpose of communications and stakeholder input. Builds custom applications for SharePoint using C# and ASP.Net for the purpose of helping customers meet their business
objectives.
Continues to learn new technical areas such as system advancements, relational database design and web development skills for
the purpose of architecting, delivering and maintaining a reliable and stable technology infrastructure appropriate to support the core instructional mission of the district.
Creates business workflows and has an in-depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 for
the purpose of helping customers meet their business objectives.
Creates tools for collaboration, enterprise search, and enterprise content management for the purpose of improving communication
within departments, divisions and throughout the district.
Develops instructional materials for the purpose of training customers in the use of portal applications to meet their business
objectives.
Evaluates Microsoft applications (SharePoint and related) and recommends migration/adoption as needed for the purpose of
architecting, delivering and maintaining a reliable and stable technology infrastructure appropriate to support the core instructional mission of the district.
Integrates systems currently being used into SharePoint maintaining a common display theme for the purpose of efficiently
providing customers a common location for their business activities.
Provides technical guidance and expertise to the web team for the purpose of equipping web team members to provide optimal
customer service.
Works with network specialists to troubleshoot connectivity or other portal related problems for the purpose of maintaining a reliable
and stable technology infrastructure appropriate to support the core instructional mission of the district.
Works with the instructional technology specialists, principals, teachers, and students for the purpose of developing an information
interface (through the SharePoint portal) that is meaningful and provides engaging digital learning opportunities to help students be more productive.
Other Functions
Assists other personnel as may be required in the completion of their work activities for the purpose of actively working to build
healthy partnerships throughout the district to better serve our customers in meeting their business objectives.
Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met.

Maintains current knowledge of computer hardware and software in use in the district for the purpose of architecting, delivering and
maintaining a reliable and stable technology infrastructure appropriate to support the core instructional mission of the district.
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient, effective functioning of the work unit.
Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; and tracking budget expenditures. Utilization of significant resources from other work units is routinely required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to impact the Organizations services.
Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 90% sitting, 5% walking, and 5% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
Experience Education
Job related experience within specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility is required. Bachelors degree in job related area.
Equivalency Bachelors degree in Technology. Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in computer science or software
engineering and four years of increasingly responsible experience in programming and database design with lead experience and training which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform the work. Four years of programming and supporting a Microsoft SharePoint environment (2007 or higher). Development experience with Microsoft.Net technologies required (ASP.NET 2.0/3.0, C#). Development experience with Microsoft technologies desirable (XML, IIS, SQL Server).
