TRAFFIC ADVISORY & STREET CLOSURE BARBEN AVENUE
The City of Watertowns Department of Public Works will begin the process of placing a shim on Barben Avenue. This work will be performed between Holcomb Street and Ives Street. Weather permitting; the road maintenance crew will place the shim on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 beginning at 7:00 am. This work is expected to last throughout the day. Throughout this portion of the project, Barben Avenue between Holcomb Street and Ives Street will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC. Local residents should make arrangements to park on nearby side streets while this work is underway. Public Works crews will follow standard protocol to establish traffic control on-site while the project is underway. If traveling through, motorists should exercise caution when encountering work zones and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
