Welcome and Announcements The Epistle Galatians 5:16-26 Robbie Haynes, reader The Prayer of Confession (In Unison) Holy God, Almighty and full of compassion, we confess that we still practice the works of the flesh. Some we seek to hide from others. Some we flaunt for all to see. We allow ourselves impure thoughts, and may be driven by merely sensual desires. We bow ourselves before other altars, serving other lords than Jesus Christ. We place more trust in quick fixes than your healing power. We boast and strive for our own way, respond in anger or envy when others get their way, and seek to divide the body for our own gain. We seek pleasure and escape above healthy relationships. Cleanse, restore and forgive us, Lord. Amen. Silence (Please confess your specific sins in silent prayer) The Assurance of Pardon Acolytes 10:00 a.m.

Christianity Aint for Sissies

Welcome to Worship
elcome to New Hope Church, now into our third century serving God! If you are visiting, you will discover a loving, spirit-filled church family. Here is some helpful information as you join us in worship today: All who worship here are equals in the sight of God, regardless of race, age, gender, physical disability or religious affiliation. Communion, when celebrated, is open to all who profess Christ as Lord and Savior, whether affiliated with this church or not. Children may partake of Communion as well, if parents approve. A nursery is available during the service; please see a greeter for directions. (This is for infants and children up to 3 years of age.) Handicap-accessible restrooms are located off the narthex (main foyer) and adjacent to the entrance lobby in the Fellowship Hall/Gym. Please complete the tear-off attendance slip attached to the bulletin and drop it in the offering plate so we will have a record of your visit with us today. Thank you for remembering to silence your cell phone during the service. We ask that there be no food or beverages in the sanctuary, please. If you arrived as a visitor we hope that you leave as a friend and worship with us often! New Hope Church exists to: Glorify God in worship and rejoice in our life together; Share the Good News of the Gospel in word and deed; Reach as many as we can with the saving love of Jesus; Help each person grow toward Christian maturity, and find their place of service in the church and in the world.

In a casual atmosphere men may discuss concerns that stay within the group. A bond between friends develops. This is a meaningful time of fellowship for the men who attend. Visitors are always welcome. Come join us! New Hope Choir Led by Ben, the New Hope choir is more than just a choir. It is a small group that meets on Sunday mornings to fellowship, express concerns, reflect on a devotional together and pray for one another. Those in the choir are blessed to be in it together. Join the choir and find out why! They meet every Sunday after the Worship Service at 11:30. Stephen Ministry - Got a burden? You dont have to carry that burden alone. Ministries/Activities Within Our Church

Tonight join us for an old-fashioned Hymn Sing at 6:00. We will gather in the sanctuary and sing some of the old Gospel favorites, perhaps some that we have not sung in a while on Sunday mornings. So if you enjoy the old hymns, and appreciate the importance of preserving them for future generations, join us next Sunday night and bring a friend! A Cumberland Presbyterian Womens (CPW) Ministry is forming at New Hope. The CPW was very active at New Hope for many years but disbanded as more and more women now work during the day. We still have a few ladies who might be able to participate in the CPW either during work or after. Much of the most important outreach that was done at New Hope was done by the CPW. Please let Mary Thompson know your interest today. Childrens Summer Fun Program is every Tuesday morning. Pastor Brad will meet the youth and children at the church at 9:00 a.m. We will take the church van to Providence in Mt. Juliet to see a movie and eat lunch. Any child
