Note: Commissioner of Police designation can only be used by ADL.CP/DIG, JCP/IGP and CP/DGP, where the latter is called Commissioner of Police (State) and the former ones Commissioner of Police (City).

Gazetted one will wear on their shoulders-ONE STAR WITHOUT RIBBON EXACT LIKE ABOVE IPS 1st YEAR(Which is also designated as ASST.SP,C.I,Sr.INSP,O/C,INSP as per the area one gazette controls in the state). But non-gazetted inspector will only wear-THREE STAR WITH RIBBON AS LIKE ABOVE INSPECTOR INSIGNIA.
