As part of my undergraduate program, I am required to take part in several student teaching placements.
Student Teaching: Mahomet Junior High School Practicum Phase 3: Young Adult Program
-Designed, planned, and implemented community based instruction -Researched the medications all the students were taking and their effects -Created an assessment, video, and lesson plan for a student regarding the use of his Vantage Lite -Conducted a Functional Behavior Assessment and created a Behavior Intervention Plan -Researched the role of paraprofessionals in my setting through observation, interview, and daily interaction -Created a individualized transition plan
Champaign, Illinois Kindergarten, 3 -5 Grade Special Education (Pull-out Reading) Fall 2011 -Implemented a Corrective Reading program for one individual and for a group of 3 students -Created a behavior plan (greeting and dismissals) for a kindergartener -Reviewed the school district disciplinary plan -created, monitored, assessed, and evaluated instructional programs -planned and facilitated a person-centered planning meeting.
