Narrative Report on the UNIT MEET

January 4-5, 2025

To let loose various innate skills of learners specifically sports related skills,
the Department of Education always conducts sports events every year to develop
the student’s different physical and mental strengths. This is to comply with the goals
of the department in constantly nurturing learners for them to realize their full
potential and be able to contribute meaningfully in nation building.

The billiard players went to the sports venue and started with a short program.
Afterwards, the TM of the event let each team get a number for the corresponding
elimination. And thus the first day was a hurdle for the elimination round.

Second day was the championship match. Everyone feels nervous even the
coaches, though they kept it under their feet. Eventually, someone has to emerge as
a winner for each category.

For Pinabacdao I, we just got the bronze medal for both 8- Ball and and 9-
Ball Boys categoy. Not bad for us first timers.

The experience with the group of Billiards together with the players and
coaches is so humbling as there were so many lessons we still have to learn.

Overall, the whole team of Pinabacdao 1 Billiards is happy and grateful for the
opportunity.

Narrative Report on the Regional Mass Training of Teachers on K to 10

Critical Content (English G7)
July 7-16, 2018

The Department of Education conducted a Regional Mass Training of

Teachers on K to 10 Critical Content (English Grade 7) on July 7-16, 2018
at Leyte Park Hotel, Tacloban City. The participants of this seminar are
teachers handling English Grade 7 all over Region VIII. In the morning of
July 7, 2018, is the arrival of the participants and the opening started at 2
o’clock in the afternoon. The OIC-Regional Director, Dr. Ramir B. Uytico,
Ed.D, CESO IV gave his opening remarks to the participants of the said
training.

This is how the trainers and trainees work hard in making the 10-
day Regional Training on the Critical Content on Grade 7 English a
success. After the 10-day eye brow scorching sessions, the training came
up with its concluding activity which is the return demo-teaching and post-
test. This is to assess participants with the knowledge they gain on how
they are going to impart the inputs they earned from the 10-day session
to their students. The demo-teaching started on the 9 th day of training
(July 16, 2018).

The training was indeed fun and very informative. I was listed on the
top 5 in writing literacy and academic writing among our class during our
session in all over Region VIII. Post-test was done in the afternoon prior to
the start of demo-teaching. The demo-teaching shows the process on how
the explicit education was done on day-to-day activity be of use in each
concluding activity in every quarter. It means that the teacher must plan
for an interactive activity and will design day-to-day activity that would
help in achieving the goal. Post conference was done right after the demo
teaching.

A closing program followed after the return demo-teaching. The

Regional English Supervisor challenged all the English teachers to be
motivated. All teachers should aim higher. They should be complacent
with their current position, but they should see themselves promoted.
Indeed, it was a worth satisfying activity seeing that the teacher-
participants really enjoy the seminar, gain new insights and encouraged
to be English teachers. Truly, I believe that teacher-participants will go
back in their respective station equipped with the necessary skills and
knowledge as agent of learning among its clientele-the students

We learned and enjoyed the training. A closing program

followed after the return demo-teaching. The Regional Math Supervisor
challenged all the Math teachers to be motivated. All teachers should aim
higher. They should be complacent with their current position, but they
should see themselves promoted. Indeed, it was a worth satisfying activity
seeing that the teacher-participants really enjoy the seminar, gain new
insights and encouraged to be Math teachers. Truly, I believe that

Narrative Report on the Conduct of Joint BSP-GSP School Based Scouting

November 17-19, 2023

Scouting is education. It aims to contribute to the development

of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social, and
spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as
members of their local, national and international communities.

One of the major thrusts of Education is Values Education. The

present conditions are characterized by value conflicts and value
distortions, and there is a great demand to help the youth examine their
lives, their goals, feelings and aspirations.
Scouting provides our youth with an opportunity to try new things,
provide service to others, build self-confidence, and reinforce ethical
standards. Scouting will not only help when they are young but they
carry it with them in their adult lives, improving relationships, ethics,
work ideals, family ties, and values by which they live.

Pinabacdao NHS conducted School-Based Scouting on November 17-19,

2023. On November 17, 2023, was the start and opening of the School-Based
Scouting at 6PM was the Torch Parade, Camp Fire and Songs and Yells
Competition. On the second day and last day were the symposium, drill exercise
and obstacle course.

Practicing and mastering Scouting skills creates a special

community with a distinct code of conduct that re-orders the priorities of
the everyday world. Practicing Scouting skills requires an unusual
combination of self-reliance and cooperation, a level of awareness of
one’s self, of others, and of the natural world no other endeavor
replicates.
