Question 1

1. In today's business, it’s not only about communicating with languages, but
also how you act toward your co-workers such as how you address someone, smile,
and use eye contact. For instance, Germans prefer to be referred to as “Dr” while
the British find it odd to use that unless you are a doctor, some cultures value “Mr
and Mrs” and others favor first names. Smiling is often referred to as a sign of
friendliness, but places like Russia view it as foolish. Eye contact is found to be
awkward in East Asia, it is prohibited between genders in the Middle East.
2. Showing respect when meeting business partners requires you to have an
understanding of their customs, values, and preferences. Initially, you need to
properly greet them. In Western a handshake is enough, while in Japan greeting
them with a bow to show respect is needed. Subsequently, how to address them is
also important, if you first meet them, remember to use formal titles such as “Mr” or
“Mrs”, in Germany it is a little bit different when they like to be called using
professional titles. Next, be mindful of your gestures and your body language, eye
contact is considered rude in Eastern countries, also avoid pointing at all costs since
it is shown as a sign of disrespect to your partner. Another crucial thing you need to
do is be on time, at your first meeting just don’t be late at all costs, try to get there
earlier or on time. You just can’t wear formal clothing to your meeting, the dress
code is important and signals them respect. To give them a little happiness on their
face, you can give them a small gift referring to their culture to show them your
generosity and thoughtful preparation. Last but not least, avoid any sensitive topics
that might be controversial in their country, that is not the thing you should talk
about when you first meet them as they can find it very annoying and disrespectful.
This skill is crucial especially in day work, by understanding and respecting these
cultural nuances, it can help you to build a positive relationship with all the business
partners worldwide.
Question 2
Today I’m going to review my favorite cinema since my childhood, the
cinema is called CGV Royal City in Nguyen Trai, Ha Noi, Vietnam. It is located
inside the Royal City Apartment Complex as a part of its entertaining section. At
first glance at the cinema, you will be immediately amazed by its gorgeous entrance,
which has a whole ocean of lighting and a variety of movie posters and stands. After
it hits you with the eyes, the sense of delicious popcorn pops right in your nose, that
smell will definitely make your mouth watery, that is how good the popcorn is! The
staff here is not only friendly but also super informative, they will give you almost
any support that you want, they will surely make you satisfied with the experience
within the cinema. The interior such as the chair and table is clean to perfection
without a single dust to give you a luxurious rest when you wait for your film to
start. The service is fast, you can have your popcorn and drinks in minutes, and you
need to give the worker the credit there. The WC is perfect, is it even more
comfortable than your home bathroom which is insane. After your tickets get
checked, you can now go to the movie room, which has a gigantic full HD screen
and those speakers provide you with the best sound that you will ever experience. It
even has a VIP Room, a buffet line that has snacks and drinks, and a bed to lie down
on while you watch the film. CGV Royal City is no doubt the most worthy cinema
to try when you visit Ha Noi, it will absolutely make your day! You have to try it
one time in your life!
